Hi Ladies,   I purchased these earrings for my bridesmaids, but have decided the color is too orange for my wedding (I was hoping they would be more yellow).  The earrings are beautiful and really sparkle in the light!   They are a light orange color in the light.  I plan to return them to the store, but since Ross-Simons is sold out of these earring, I thought I would post to see if anyone here wants them first.   The original price was almost $200 and I bought them on sale for $67.  I will sell them for what I paid plus shipping (otherwise they're being returned).  I have six total and am willing to sell them together or individually.  The each have their own gift box and then the earrings are inside a brown pouch - perfect for gifting!  Let me know if you have any questions.   citrine earrings.jpg

Hello, Ladies (and the few guys on this forum):

  • I am marrying my wonderful fiance at the Royal Playa in May 2012.  Woot Woot!
  • This forum has so far been a great resource, therefore I thought I'd begin to contribute.
  • Look forward to me sharing my wedding planning adventure from a guys perspective.
  • I'll also probably have a ton of questions and I thank you all in advance for your help.
  • Are there any other guys on this forum?  I feel so alone, haha.

Hi everyone!

Well, I think we have our core group for the wedding booked. There are a couple of people who may be adding a guest to their room, but other than that - Bride & Groom plus 46 booked!

My wedding coordinator actually sent me a message last night saying that April is considered "high season" and that we need to have all of our guests book asap, or they may not have rooms available. Thank God for my travel agent! :)

Has anyone given thought to their menu for the reception? I was thinking the spinach souffle salad, the red snapper & the beef filet for the main courses, and then either the baked pear or the cannoli trio for dessert.

I had the 3 lettuce salad, gave guests a choice between snapper or fillet, and had the canoli trios for dessert.

Here are pics, I don't have a pic of the snapper though, but people liked it:

Thank you - looks perfect!!!

Also, I see that you did frame/placecards - did you do a seating chart? How many guests did you have?

We had 40-something people.  I did create a seating chart and gave that to my onsite coordinator with the placecards and they set it up for us. I bought fish stickers and put a sticker on those who chose the red snapper. That was something I was really nervous about, thinking it was going to be set-up wrong but they set everything up perfectly.  The people who had the beef they even had a steak knife at their place setting for them.

I cannot say enough how great Michelle and the servers were at the wedding.  Family that attended our wedding are still commenting about it to us.  My aunt wanted something to drink and the bar was missing an ingredient and she told him no problem and ordered something different.  One of the servers ran, yes literally ran to find the ingredient, brought it to bar, and found her on the dance floor to give her the drink.  They were making trays of shots/drinks and walking abound with them and my one friend couldn't drink alcohol at the time so the servers would make sure to have a "virgin" version of the drink on the tray for her.  I mean the list can go on and on..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
