Hi, Ladies:

I've had some trouble getting a list of all the decor options from my WC, who keeps saying she is not getting a response from their supplier (I think it's Planner 1 Events)?  Has anyone seen a list of options that Planner 1 Events has (i.e. candles, table runners, chairs, flowers, furniture, etc.)?

Thanks!

Jenn

Jenn-

Who's your coordinator? Mine is Ana, if she's not yours maybe I can see if she can get access to it?

Let me know.

Thank you for asking me! I am on it and we have the rooms blocked over at the Gran Porto for you.. I will be glad to see if there is any further I can do with the Royal, however it does sound like they are truly full for the moment at least... it would be quite a gamble to wait and see if rooms come available later, your guests need to be able to make their plans and holding off in the hopes that rooms might open up would be stressful for all to say the least.

As least we now have a good back up plan for you with the rooms at the Gran Porto..

It would be my recommendation to others who might be booking for busy times that it is much better to hold the rooms with a group contract and then be able to release un needed rooms than to be in the bad position of trying to get rooms when a resort is showing full.

Regards,

TA Wendy

jessica - I was just searching on the Royal's website, and they have availability in the garden room for Fri 4/20, though not Sat 4/21. they do have beachfront walk-out rooms for the entire weekend. not sure if that's in anyone's budget, but wanted to let you know the availability is moving around.

also, if your guests book one of the highest room classes at they grand porto, they'll be able to come to the royal at anytime without buying a day pass (at least, that was the case according to this thread awhile back).

good luck!!

Are you guys having problems with them not decorating anything?

I am bringing chair ties, centerpieces, flowers and isle runner - Ana (off site coordinator) said they will not decorate anything we bring that is not the resort, I am about to have a heart attack - it really does seem they don't want to work with you or be flexible... I guess it is what it is....

Brides, what have they NOT let you do or wouldnt do for you when you asked them when you were already there for your wedding??

Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
