I have a question for the brides, how is everyone getting their wedding dress to Mexico? are you carrying it on? (in a garment bag or in a suite case?) or checking it? and the brides who have already been to mexico, how did you get your dress there? I am flying frontier airlines and was just told that they do not have a closet to hang my dress in, (I'm stressing out now)  not sure what to do!!!! I leave sunday!

I would suggest not to check it. I carried mine on the plane with me.  We flew AA direct from Chicago to Cancun.  Before we boarded we asked if we could board with the first/priority group so I could place my dress in the overhead before everyone else got on the place and they rudely said "a wedding dress is not a priority NO"  Thanks AA, ha!   shameonyou.gif

However when we boarded there was this pleaseant and bubbly flight attended and asked if that was my wedding dress etc and offered to hang it in the Captains closet for me.  It was a very small cramped closet and the bottom of my dress needed to be folded up but it did the trick.  My dress was a little wrinkled but it was chiffon so the wrinkles came out without it being steamed. I brought a hand steamer with me and I ended up not using it.  Also, my bridesmaids dresses were wrinkled too but by the day of the wedding the wrinkles fell out of those as well not sure what the material of those were but they were thicker.

Hi ladies, I'm working on my review, I'm thinking I'll wait until I get my professional pics to post it.  But if anyone has any questions feel free to PM me, I'd be happy to help.  All my vendors were GREAT!  Fernando with Makeup Pros, Raffaele w/EW Cancan, Marvin w/ Maya Diseno (sp?), Dorremixx, Vincent from Del Sol, Mediamorfosis....  If you are using any of these venors you have nothing to worry about!

Here are a couple pics for now that my guests took:

lots of creativity there - I love it. congrats on being married!! : )

Congrats ChicagoBride!  Looks like you had a wonderful wedding!  I love love love the bright colors!  I am doing yellow flowers too!

I'm wondering also - How did you get those types of chairs for the ceremony?!  I thought the Royal did not have them, but if they do I'd love to use those.

40 days to go! I'm so excited even though I have a bunch of stuff to do. I really could use a vacation after all this planning!

Bride2Be22,

If you wouldn't mind sharing, is mediamorfosis pretty affordable? We were not originally planning to do professional video-- but I just watched an AMAZING video on their site and I'm kinda hopeful that we can maybe squeeze it into the budget... Even though there is the addition of another vendor fee.... I'm sure vegas was amazing for the bachelorette party!

To be honest...we felt inlove with their work months ago, but once we got their pricing, we couldnt do it....BUT my mom really wanted video coverage so she offered to pay...........the full day coverage is 4,500.......if you want less hours (i believe 5) it's abot 3,500...........to me that is not affordable, and the only reason we have it it's because of my mother!!!! BUT if you really LOVE their work, and can fit about 5k into your budget then go for it!!!

OMG Vegas was beyond everything i expected! VIP all the way! it was nice to forget about "reality" for 4 days and enjoy luxury!

Now i have a wedding in 5 weeks, need to submit my checklist ASAP and do so many smaller things! yikes, i miss vegas!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
