Just made my final payment!

Bride + Groom + 51 Guests + 3 Kids! 05.27.11.  YAY!!!

We are getting a group together to do a tour with Aventura Maya - the Mayan Xtreme Tour - a couple days after our wedding. They were rated #1 on the Trip Advisor website. They said if we get >10 people, we can have our own bus. :) No group discounts, but there is a 10% discount if you book online. The guys are also doing a fishing trip with Fishing with Ivan.  I'll let you know how they go!

same, i would be nice to have it without the extra cost, my group isn't much for dancing either, just a few people.....it'll still be fun, i'm sure - stay positive. to add some "lighting" i'm picking up some glow sticks and light-up things to make it more colourful.

I guess I am hoping to get a good bonus and pay for that light up floor...not only I got a 30 persons group, and most of them are not the dancing typesad.gif

we're going to go to xplor!  there's zip-lining, dune buggies, snorkelling, cenotes all in one park. a few people have already gone to xcaret but that was fun too. xel-ha + tulum was another some people have been interested in doing.

Hello Ladies! I just made my final payment for my wedding on May 19th 2011!!!!! and I leave for the RPDC in exactly 1 month!! I can't believe how soon it is! I had my bachelorette party last Saturday and it was a ton of fun. My MOH and bridesmaids organized it. We had a "wigging out" bachelorette party. Here  are a few pictures to share. I hope everyone has an amazing time on their bachelorette party!

chelseacarp - Thanks so much for the heads up on the discounted day passes!  I asked my WC and she said yes, there is a discount.  I don't think she would have mentioned it if I had not asked.

dimax21 - Looks like your bach. party was fun!  Love the last pic!

:)  I am on the hunt for wedding shoes and bridesmaid jewelry this weekend!

98 days to go!!!

AHR coming up, things are getting stressful on that part due to the money.

we've already made it as simple as possible (no cake, limited alcohol, use of same DIY & real touch flowers as DW, no decorations....) but it still feeling overwhelmed. FI had a big freak out over the cost and we got into an argument about it all. it's not like it was my parents who kept pushing, pushing and insisting on a 300 guest AHR. we've just about maxed out the restaurant capacity *WTF* ergh, feels like the same argument from months ago so i won't go into it but it's just frustrating when his parents wanted the AHR but backed out on forking out the cash for it and left us holding the bill.

the norm is guests to the reception will bring a money gift, usually to cover their food cost. so we're hoping there will be enough there that we don't end up with a giant loss.

just can't wait to get that part done so we can go to mexico and start the celebration WE want.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
