ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

Araceli,

Thanks for the awesome review! Very helpful. Your pictures are amazing, Del Sol did a great job :) Where did you find your jewelry? I love the necklace.

Ladies,

I'm looking desperately for royal blue peep toes with a heel around 3 inches, no more than 3.5. I had one possibilty, by Pour la Victoire and it's now sold out :( Any suggestions?

I noticed that my WC mentioned something about the beach by the gazebo but I saw that there are so many reviews about the beach by Pelicanos. I was wondering if anyone had any info on this such as if one area is nicer than the other?

Thanks!

There is the beach behind the Gazebo, the Central Beach and Pelicano's beach.  Pelicano's beach is the closest to the pier and is behind Pelicano's restaurant.  Pelicano's is the largest area , they are all great but I would say that the area behind the gazebo or Pelicano's would be the best.

Hope this helps!

Hi SweetLe,

Badgley Mischka makes awesome wedding shoes in all different colors... Google "blue badgley mischka shoes" and I'm sure you'll find something.

There's also a shoe forum under Wedding Attire - the girls there may be able to suggest something similar if you can post a photo of your previous choice.

This helps alot... thank you! I now have one more question, do you know how close these areas are? I am curious if there could possibly be 3 beach receptions going on at the same time, and if the activities of other weddings could interfere?

Thanks!

Unfortunately they are close, and yes there is a possibility of numerous wedding's going on at one time.

The Royal says they plan around others so one's activities don't interfere with others. This might be a good question for past brides.  I know I asked before and I was told Thurs- Sat are the busiest wedding days there.

I got amazing shoes at Nina...royal purple and they are comfortable!  ninashoes.com, and I think they sell them on zappos etc.

Hey Ladies - I am having the Tres Leches cake on the bottom tier and chocolate on the top.  My WC told me I could have the tres leches because the reception is indoors so there shouldn't be any melting issues.  But tres leches was not on the choice list for the cake.

I think it really depends on your WC. Last year some of the brides mentioned that they no longer offer the tres leches cake as a wedding cake. I don't remember why - but I know a few brides were not able to pick that cake. Then again - the Royal tends to make changes whenever it suits them. Crossing fingers you get your cake!

Lisa - Did you have a tres leches wedding cake?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
