WHOA Kshows!  Your pics are AMAZING!!!!  You look gorgeous!  I think those pics just gave me the inspiration and get off my booty and back on my workout routine! 

Too many excuses...in a new position at my company and have been working late, but it's time to get back on the wagon!  I live in Houston also, so if I feel confident enough I might look into your photographer!

Can't wait to see your planning thread and wedding pics.  Have a wonderful wedding on Saturday!!!  :)

 

 

Question for all the ladies:  Where did you go shopping for you and your fiance's wedding bands and how long did it take to get them in?  We need to start looking and are not sure where to go.  He got my engagement ring/diamond from a wholesaler and we probably won't go there for the bands.

Hi ladies!! I hope everyone is doing well!  I've got a question for the past Royal brides.. I know that most, if not all, of the wedding packages include a 'Complimentary upgrade to the next suite category if available'.   Has anyone been able to upgrade upon arrival?  I'm trying to decide whether or not to go down a level (we're currently Oceanfront) in hopes that we might be able to upgrade for free and have more money to spend on the wedding. 

 

And Heidi, I will miss your wedding by one day!  We will arrive at the Royal on the 23rd.  Yay for a fellow Texan being there around the same time though :)

We are so excited! I can't believe how quickly the time passed and that our big day is next weekend! We just have to put together our programs and I'm still waiting to hear from the tailor on my dress. My FI is running around like a mad man since he has just begun all the things on his "to do" list, but at least he's got a few more days. 

 

And after all this snow and ice and cold weather in Dallas, we can't wait to hit the sunny beaches of Playa! I've never been to Playa del Carmen before, let alone, The ROYAL, but after reading all these posts and everyone's reviews and feedback, I can honestly say I have never been more excited for anything! 

 

ONLY 8 MORE DAYS! :)

Hi all... I am recently engaged and thanks to the reviews and pics on this site, we have settled on the Royal PDC for June 2012.

 

I am sure that I will have TONS of questions about all the planning that is involved with a DW but so many posts have been really helpful so far!

Oooo im so excited, im new to this site but so glad i found it! We have just booked the royal for our wedding also in June 2012! I cant wait! Rissa 519 when in june have you booked your for? Im just decided on whens best to send the invites out, looking for something destinationed themed!

Heidi - Don't forget the amazing weather we've been experiencing in Houston as well. Nothing like Dallas but still crazy for us. Depending on how much you have budgeted, we got his ring at Tiffany's and mine at the now defunct Bailey Biddles and Banks. Although I've been told if I'm nice I may get a band from Tiffany's. msnwink.gif

 

I definitely agree with using a wholesaler for your ring - best quality and pricing. One of my friends used a wholesaler for all their rings and they look amazing. PM me and I'll give you his information. Her rings look amazing and he can do any inspired rings as well.

Welcome Kate and new brides to be!!! June is a great month and as you can tell, a very popular one. Two months after we set our date with The Royal - I sent out our save the dates. We used www.paperdivas.com magnet save the dates and they have fun tropical themes. I'm a little behind on sending out my invites but finalizing them this weekend. My belief is that if you inform everyone ahead of time and get the save the dates and website up early - no one should be blind-sided or surprised about a destination wedding. They're getting their invites at the end of this month - so still plenty of time before June.

Congrats and have fun planning!!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
