Hi guys,

A couple of notes on recent posts:

1. Transfers - We hired WE GO MEXICO for all of our guests transfers.  My friend and I have both previously used their services and they are reliable, can accommodate all sized parties, and are well-priced.  He gave us a group discount and is very easy to work with.  One thing we especially like about this company is that it is a small family business.

2. Meal selections - I'm so glad somebody posted this!  I have not yet communicated to my WC how many beef vs. vegetarian dishes.  Thank you for the reminder!

3. TSA/Dress steaming - The resort is going to steam my dress...it is part of my package.  Since I am having it steamed, I am folding it up in its bag and packing it into a rollerboard suitcase to put in the overhead bin.  My dress, veil, shoes and groom's suit, shirt, tie and shoes are all going in the rollerboard.  I have heard that sometimes people luck out with being able to hang their dress, but I don't want to take the risk.  We have a full flight.

This week, I packed one big suitcase with OOT bag items!  Getting so excited!

Now I see on the TSA wedding site that the garmet bag for a wedding dress can only be 45 inches??? I feel like mine is bigger than that...

That's what I'm doing-this week. My WC is so lax. She hasn't contacted me. I'm just going with the flow, lol...

Amazing review! Thanks for all of the details. I noticed you mentioned how windy it was a couple of times. Was this the norm? Our reception starts at 4:30 on the beach.

Thanks! I love writting/talking about it....so I just kept going :)

When we were there it did seem rather windy at night....I have no idea if this was the norm, or just when we were there etc. We were really only down at the beach a couple of the nights....but the day of our wedding I know it was windy during our ceremony (I had a piece of hair that wouldn't stay outta my face - use LOTS of hairspray!!!) But I really don't know....I just know for the Catamran, the waves were insane! Then the night we went down for our dinner, we thought it would be way too windy for our dinner (that was at 6:00) BUT I know most people do have their reception on the beach and everything turns out perfect!

So, I guess if you have always wanted the beach reception, I'm sure it will be great!! If you aren't sure....I know a lot of people had said how they would hate to use the ballroom....but I just want to let people know it is very nice! We all loved it, and to be honest everyone was more concerned with dancing and talking that they probably didn't even notice their surroundings :)

I don't know if that helps you at all.....but either way I am sure it will be great!!!

Thanks Randi.

We have it planned for 4:30 pm on Pelicano's beach so I was just a little worried.

Hey JoZee,

thanks for PMing me! That is way awesome. I love your table centerpieces that you posted a while back. That is amazing for price!! I'm looking into just candles with 3 tall pillars/hurricanes and votice candles - and that was $80. Seems much for just candles. LOL..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
