Girl, you must have been in my head because i have been mopey all day because of the weather reports...thanks for making me feel better :-)

If you love it, get it. My dress is super heavy and I even had to get a 2nd dress for TTD because FI thought I might drown from the weight of it lol. I felt pretty in the big dress, so that is the one i went with. I figure it will be chilly after the sun goes down, so no prob ;-)

Welcome back Kerri!!  So happy there was another successful Royal wedding.  I can't wait to see everyone's pics!

Mrs.G2B that dress is stunning!

Ladies who is the outside vendor you all are using for centerpieces and flowers?  I know it's on here, but can't seem to find it.

I've been in contact with EW Events Cancun for some outside vendor info and they have been really great, not sure if it's the same company.

Thanks!

I just went and met him in the lobby. I told security what he was here for and they said no problem. They gave him visitor passes and that was it :)

I took care of all the other places so last thing now is passport. Which by the way ladies if you get the name on your passport changed within three months of getting married its free. After three months its $100.

I meant to tell you guys to, the blood work was a piece of cake. It took two seconds and the nurse showed me the seal break. She was so sweet.

Also RunningBride had given me the tip to make sure to check on all my appointments when I arrived. Good thing I did because the SPA had none of them. Zulma even showed me the e-mail she sent them so this was definitely the SPA's fault. So be sure to double, triple check on all your appointments.

Oh don't let this worry you. It always says its going to rain every day over there. We have vacationed there the past two summers and I looked at the forecast before we left both times and it said the same thing...thunderstorms every day! It really wasn't that bad. It did rain almost every day, but for about 10 minutes, then stopped. Good luck!!

Love your dress Mrs. G2B!!!! I think it's perfect just the way it is:)

Everyone else I wish would just try and relax a bit, OH well.....heavy sigh!

I have a question for those who have already had their weddings: How far out did you mail your invitations? I sent my STD a year in advance and have gotten little responses. I'm starting to think people may go last minute and then it will throw off all my DIY projects and other items. I would love to hear what you did, or if this has already been discussed lead me to that forum. :)

I also got my dress this weekend and now feel like this is a becoming very REAL!! so excited!!! despite some family freaking out.

What do you think? I'm wondering if this will be to full, should I have the bottom taken out a little?? Thanks

Welcome Back Kerri... I love everytime I read "The Royal was Perfect" Congratulations!!!!!! Can't wait to see pics!

I have been back for about a week, but yesterday was my first day back to work which sucked big time!  I want to go back!

The Royal was perfect!  The service was phenomenal, the food was great (especially at Maria Marie and Asiana), and all of our guests had a fantastic time.  Although our wedding was small (only 25), we had lots of great times (and the pics to prove it - lol).

A couple of things:

Don't worry about the weather forecast before you get there.  It had actually forecasted rain the whole time we were supposed to be there, and the only time it did rain was the first day for 10 minutes.  Otherwise it was beautiful.  No need to stress about it.

We added several guests after we got there (last minute people that decided to go), and it was no problem.  I just paid the additional fee the day before the wedding when I met with my WC Denys.  No sweat.  Just make sure you let your bank know you're going to be in Mexico, otherwise your debit may get declined like mine did the first time.  :-)

We felt super safe the whole time we were there.  We had read that worrying about crime in the border towns is like worrying about a crime wave in Chicago when you're vacationing in Key West.  It's so far removed from the violent areas that it really isn't an issue.  Although my husband's mother didn't go because she's terrified of Mexico, she really would have had nothing to worry about.

Nate Broshot (that's his professional name) was the most amazing photographer, and he's way less expensive than the least expensive photographer we found in Playa.  He was one of the best parts of the wedding.  Check out my review on him in the vendor thread.

All in all, it was the best vacation ever.  I even met Randi, although when I met her by chance at the Asiana bar I didn't realize she was on the forum.  We still did shots, though!  :-)  Glad to hear her wedding went amazingly well also - she got married after we left.

Let me know if you guys have any questions - we were on a pretty tight budget, and we certainly found ways around some of their fees.  :-)

Kerri (the new Mrs. Morgan!!)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
