i booked a private trip with Catamaya the night before my wedding. we are just doing snacks etc, this quote was for 60-70 people (we also asked them to pay their own transportation, 10 bucks for them vs 600 for us....)

As follows will find the quotation for a group of 60-70 people:

SUNSET Charter with Angus Hamburgers

The lunch includes Green salad with Italian and French dressing, Guacamole, Mexican salsa, tortilla chips and an hamburger that our  chef grills on our stainless steel grill on the back of the catamaran.

And full open bar!

Hours             From 4:00pm to 8:00pm

Cost              US$3,200.00

Wow Fancy That you looked amazing on your wedding day!!  Thanks for posting your pics.

Congrats Natalie!  Can't wait to hear all about your big day!

Thanks everyone for the input on the aisle runner.

As far as photographers, I booked Gonzalo Nunez.  I can't seem to find many reviews on him, but based on his website, blog and prices I couldn't resist.

He has a couple of different packages to choose from.  I picked a package that includes 10 hours on your wedding day and a TTD session the next day (or whenever you want it).  We are having our wedding on a Friday and doing the TTD on Sunday.  We can sleep in the day after our wedding that way and be rested up for the TTD.  The package costs $2000.  I couldn't find anyone else that beat that price for that many hours and a TTD.  Just let me know if you need his contact info.  He is very quick and responsive and we are now facebook friends...lol

He said he doesn't need a room, so I'm not sure yet about the vendor fee / how I'm going to work that out...guess I'll decide later.

:)

When you were at Maria Marie's for your rehearsal dinner were they able to put you in an area that was somewhat more private? I know it's mainly an open area but I was hoping they had an alcove or a section that was kinda away from the crowd?

How was the food? Was it heavy?

I just did our total budget and our grand total is 15k!! I was hoping to keep it around 12-13k but I wouldn't change my choices.

So now I'm just trying to be more vigilant on our expenses.

Is anyone doing a small outting or dinner for just family & bridal party?

Hey it never hurts to ask! Yes, open bar anywhere, everywhere! :) There was never a problem with this. I had heard sometimes it wasn't an open bar but it was! I had a 'signature drink' served during the cocktail reception, but people could still order other drinks.

Did they have any specialty cocktails or just an open bar?

Ahhhh yay!!! I'm glad you liked them and YES do a TTD! It's so fun and definitely worth it!

For our dinner they didn't have us scheduled, but managed to put us somewhat to ourselves in the back corner. We had 4 long tables close together and it worked out perfectly. It wasn't incredibly crowded so I didn't even notice the others. The food was very good, I always went for the seafood! I was too busy talking/taking pictures/enjoying things to eat that much, but I don't remember it being incredibly heavy.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
