You look so beautiful!! Fernando did a great job. When did you do your trial run with him? I love your pics! It makes me so happy and excited to see such beautiful weddings - so glad that i picked The Royal to have our wedding there.

I haven't been on here in forever. My dad was diagnosed over the summer with an aortic aneurysm which required him to have open-heart surgery. I have been his main caregiver throughout his recovery process which has been ongoing for the last 10 weeks. I am happy to say the he is recovering well and getting stronger everyday

 

Now that he is getting better it is time to turn my focus back to wedding planning. I am a month out today and still have a ton to do!! I can't believe November is coming so quickly!

I have a couple of questions about that I'm hoping you can help me with. Can you tell me how you did your booking at Maria Maries and how/when you guys were able to to select the songs from the violinist. Also, what types of songs did she have? Was there a large selection?

I tasted the chicken (minus the seafood) during our site visit and it was good.  Everything we tasted was good!  The only thing I didn't like was the duck salad...but then again I've never eaten duck before so I'm no expert. 

 

We are going with the 3 lettuce salad, the filet, and the canoli's.  YUM!   I'd like to give my guests a choice but I was told no, IF I get them to change their mind then I'll do chicken and filet.

I'm doing a choice of entree for mine (Snapper & Filet) and there wasn't a problem.  You just have to give them a list before hand of how many and then denote on the placecards who gets what.  I'm using teal ribbon for fish and coral colored ribbon for beef.

I am using DJ Ivan as well we locked out because Kool has their own DJ and services that you have to use. However we had already booked Ivan when we decided to switch from the Royal to Kool so thank fully they made an exception for us. I am so happy to reading such great reviews about him. We love music and everyone loves to dance to the DJ was important.

We just gave Ivan a list of the main songs like first dance and father/daughter dance. Then for the reception general dancing we just told him to play good dance songs. And it is true about him being able to download songs right then and play them. During the time everyone was up dancing my husband requested some James Brown so we could get a soul train line going. He found it and downloaded it right then. A few others requested songs throughout the night too and there were no problems with him finding them.

Wow Jes, I love it! i might be stealing that one! haha.  But I have a question, your doing a legal ceremony not a sybolic.  How does that work in the States? do they recognise the marriage? How do you translate the paper work? I'm so confused! Symbolic or Civil? My FI really wants to get legally married there, but I know it would be easier to get it done here. Don't know what to do!?
