ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Lady_Di - thanks! Good info about the $100 in pesos.

When you were - did you experience any issues with the police or military officials? The news and trip advisor have been talking about increased violence in Mexico and corrupt police.

I'm sure that area is highly protected since it brings tons of tourists but still safety is a concern!

Thanks!

Janna

Jess, totally, you can copy from word! it is much easier to put it together in a word then copy and paste. the only problem i had is the spacing...when i copied the whole thing, it clumped together everything. i am not sure if it will be a problem with this new forum, though.

Maria, definitely enjoy your planning because it will be here in no time!!

Janna, I'm glad you got everything resolved!

Happy belated wedding day, Running Bride!

Ravelyn, I took a big shell and wrapped it good and took it on my carry on and we didn't get stopped for that. I guess it just depends!!

I just got back from a trip to Playa Del Carmen/Cozumel...the weather was absolutely gorgeous. It gets a bit chilly at night so for you Oct brides, definitely bring a light jacket or something. The waves were kind of rough! We didn't have any issues with paying in USD dollars that was less $100. We saw some signs that the airport in Cancun will not accept over $100 in USD and has to be in pesos. The exchange rate was ridiculous! Fortunately, we had some $100 in pesos as a wedding gift. I wouldn't worry too much about this whole thing but do get some pesos to cover your butt. :) You can use your credit card for most of purchases.

I wish I can go through my wedding planning again! I miss it. sad.gif I'm living viarciously through all of you!

Hey Lisa, I did, I spoke to Zulma on Friday and still nothing. I e-mailed her again this morning. We are 30 days from today. I actually broke everything down for her on word doc with pics and all lol so she really has everything she needs. I don't know what else to do.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
