I went for my site visit on a Fri - Sun, so it was busy!  But I can't see it ever being dead with all the resorts & activities in the area.

I'm glad everything worked out for you Jess!  I also got a response from the TA yesterday. She's going to rebook my mom's flights and then she'll only have to pay the difference in ticket prices.  I was also very frustrated with the lack of a response or notification from the TA.  She seems to be a lot more responsive and helpful since yesterday. Maybe your complaint to the Travel Agency got her moving!  Luckily we didn't have any other guests booked on Mexicana, so we didn't have to deal with a lot of angry guests. Thank God for that!  Good luck with all the rebooking!  I hope everything else works out for you!

Well we all got our money back except for 5 people who were booked directly through Mexicana. So they have to call and dispute the charges with the credit card company :( not sure how that is going to go.

What sucks is the flights are so much more now :( for some of our guests they are actually getting a refund. For me and others its like a $150 per person. But nothing we can do.

but we got our money back thank god

YAY for us :) I am to am happy that this is all working out for everyone.

For you ladies in 2011 if you have not booked yet and have not gotten a TA do so immediately. Everything we just went through with Mexicana would not have been resolved without our TA. Our poor Expedia guests who booked with them against are recommendation are now screwed.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
