OMG great news!!!!!!!! I am so happy right now I am crying. My TA was in meetings and that''s why she could not get back to me. I feel so bad about being so mad before now, my TA is so wonderful. I just had not heard from her and freaked out.

 

Well we all got our money back except for 5 people who were booked directly through Mexicana. So they have to call and dispute the charges with the credit card company :( not sure how that is going to go.

 

What sucks is the flights are so much more now :( for some of our guests they are actually getting a refund. For me and others its like a $150 per person. But nothing we can do.

 

but we got our money back thank god

Lisa - did you get re-booked yet?

 

On a happy note, my dress came in!!!! Now to figure out the day that works for my mom and 3 sisters to come with me to the first fitting :o)

Hi Ladies,

 

I can't believe this happened with the airline. Bankruptcy is not something that a business doesn't see coming.  Mexicana should have communicated their financial issues to the tour operators so people would be forewarned.  I'm glad this is working out for some. Hang in there Brides!!!

Yeah that's great news!  I knew she'd come through for you!  I was emailing her today about my wedding and she said that she felt horrible for one of her brides that is having Mexicana issues, I bet that was you!

 

I would have freaked out too, I'm glad everything is working out for you! :)

Well hopefully we can put this behind us. I am almost two months away! and I have a lot to do. In good news we got our mugs today and I love them. I will take pics tomorrow to share with you guys.

Well, I haven't seen anything that says Mexicana, so I THINK I'm in the clear? (crosses fingers)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
