These price differences based on which wc you have is ridiculous!  I was quoted $60 pp for open bar and 3 course dinner!  We thought that was way too high for the welcome party, so we're doing the open bar with hot & cold hors d'oeurves for $30 pp for only 2 hours.

I would double check this...both my first  & second WC told me $25 for real resort guests & $50 for non-resort guests...maybe they accidentally told you the non-resort guest price?

I think all the pricing depends on what package you get...or if you go "a la carte".  I know I'm paying $25 pp for private dinner for my package, which is the Classic.  But some people pay more, some less depending on the exact pkg you choose.

I was just assigned a new WC again for the third time now! Angie Silva - has anyone worked with her? Does anyone know if this the original Angie from the Michigan office that everyone hated? I really hope not!

I had Rebekah and am very disappointed to lose her, she has been amazing to work with. Angie has big shoes to fill!

I completely agree with all these "extras" being pathetic. I want to get everyone together the night before but don't want to pay extra. I'm thinking of just having everyone go separately or in groups of 8 or 10 and just go from there. We all may not be seated directly together but at least we'll be at the same place. I have about 40 guests so we would have to pay wherever we went. :(

I have the Luxury package (which includes the 3-hour private reception) and are doing the welcome party as an add-on the night before the wedding.  My travel agent is double-checking with Maritza, the wedding coordinator....

Hey SMcKinney! yes, you me and RunningBride will all be there the same time! You first, then her, then me on 10/9, 10/10, 10/11 :) Very cool!!!!!

I'll look for the fun bunch w/ the turqoise tumblers. also - since we arrive the morning of the 8th, I'll be able to see your wedding, too :) And then we can watch RBs :)

You on the beach or gazebo or garden?  I'll be on the beach at 4pm on 10/11/10

We only have 8 guests TOTAL...we were going to elope but the parental units, siblings and a couple friends wanted to come vacation :)   Having a huge wedding reception at home, on 10/23....invited 125 peeps! That is WAY more planning than this little wedding on the beach!

I did contact Fernando to get prices for my wedding next june 2011.

Here is what he wrote in the email:

this is my price list for hair and make up ok

trial hair and make up $180
day of the event $350

bridesmaids and family
only make up $90
only hair $50 up to $80

Does anyone know the rates for the hotel for hair and makeup for bridesmaid and family?

Thanks,

Heidi

My prices are the same for my September 2010 wedding. I was told you can put 4 people on your "list" to come to your room 3 hours in advance

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
