ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

I need the Spa info for The Royal PDC, too.  I feel like I should have booked my appointment already, but I have no info on it.

Did you book the appointment for hair in advance? Did you call directly or did the WC do it? I'm a little over 2 months away, so I feel like I need to get that buttoned up.

Thanks!

It shouldn't be a problem for the Gran Porto folks to get their hair and make up done at the Spa in the Royal. I think there is an entrance to the spa from the street (ave. constitituentes). If not then they should be able to enter through the Weddings Office, which I know definitely has as entrance from the street, and then have someone escort them to the spa. However, I don't think it would be a problem anyway if they come through the front door of the hotel. All they should have to do is say that they're going to the spa.

If you're still concerned and your WC isn't responding, you could call the hotel and ask them directly.

My concern is my mom and the rest of the bridesmaids will be staying at Gran Porto, will they be able to go over to the Royal just to have hair/make up done without a day pass?

I was hoping to have hair done at Gran porto since that is where the wedding is....but that can't happen

I had my mom, sister and MIL do their hair at the Royal and they were guests of Gran Porto.

You can convert them on Google. It's easy. Example: type in 8 centimeters to yards in the search box and it will do it for you.

Yes my WC got back to me and confirmed gran porto guests can go over without a pass, thank god! Thank you ladies for all the relief!!

There is pricing on the Royal wedding website for SPAzul. We are 4 months out today, and WC told me a week or so ago she can book our appts now.

Now on to the next project, trying to get the lady for the AHR to contact me back to confirm we are all set with the date we booked 6 months ago. I just wanted to be in contact and confirm everything before sending my save the dates, I left her a message a week ago now and no call back! I've learned with this wedding, if I decide on something expect the oposite!

Ladies I have great news!!!! in my pack from my welcome visit I found the Spazul pricing menu!!! woo hoooo I would scan it and post it but it’s a really thick card stock and I could not get it through the scanner :(

I called and asked and the rates are still the same as when I was there in November. Right now they have an offer for 20% off all massages and facial treatments. They always seem to have on offer going on. I think the offers depend on how full the resort is. When we were there it was 20% of all spa services.

The phone number is when calling from the US 011 52 984 877 29 00 and the spa is extension 4058. The fax number is 011 52 984 877 29 99.

From what I saw the pricing on the wedding site was only massages. I could be blind as a bat lol but anyways in case it does help someone here is all the info :)

I found it hilarious that I went through the same thing with my AHR coordinator...sheesh. LOL

I want to be like listen I'm a really good bride, I haven't contacted you once in 6 months since I sent my deposit. But now that we are 6 months out I want to get the OK before sending the save the dates!! Just return my call I promise it will be a  2 minute convo! I'm going to have to call her again tomorrow. Annoying, and i don't really think it's even a busy place, it's just an American Legion!

Hmm maybe I got the pricing from WC info she sent me. She didn't mention anything about a $10 deposit!

I'm planning on just giving her everyones names and what they want (hair/make up) If she mentions the deposit then I'll figure that out, hopefully she doesn't though. I wonder how many people they have working at a time. I have myself, 4 bridesmaids, FMIL and mother that need hair and make up. Wedding is at 2 so I'm not sure what time to set up appts for...I guess earlier the better...

Thanks for the tip, Di!

Ladies,I think I have a spa menu from Julie, but it's on my computer at home. I'll check to see if it's in my email. If so, I will do an edit and upload it.

Jes,

Did you ever hear from Zulma? I sent her and Patty from corporate an email about their service on Friday and have not received a response.  I have o honestly say although I'm sure it will work out in the end, I really don't appreciate the lack of responses and if I had to do it all over again I didn't think I would book here again. I'm definitely going to put all of the problems I've had in my review. If we didn't have 30 people booked already...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
