I was ready to make a deposit, but it took them forever to get back to me, I had to email them for a third time today and finally it was... oh it's not available. I have no idea what to do sad.gif Maybe they can put us in the Gran Porto Gazebo?

Rosieposie, looks like we'll be down there the same time. My date is May 21, 2011 :)
Jessica is right, the GPR gazebo is gorgeous and I actually think gives better shots of the ocean behind you.

Same here. If I hyphenate, my name will be ten syllables long (oh my)...and if I take his name, i lose my ethnicity lol....

I feel you girls on the name thing, same issue here and everyone calls me by my last name. I have always been called by my last name since high school so that could be weird lol. So I don't now either yet....

In other news my dress came in today!!!! my 1st fitting is August 12th and than I have 5 more after that. 4 months away!! ladies the time just flies as you know.

I'm in the same situation regarding last name. I want to keep mine and my fiance isn't too happy about it. He actually gets quite upset when I tell him that I want to keep my name. It's not that I don't like his last it just doesn't doesn't flow well, too many "m's" and I sound like an Irish Catholic nun, lol.

My only choice is to hyphenate so we both get what we want.

sorry to hear your having problems with your ceremony arrangements! i hope you get it sorted out soon! the gazebo at the Gran looks quite lovely too, so if the time is important for you, it could be a good fit.

but if you have your heart set on the Royal's gazebo, is an earlier time available?

don't worry, you never know...let your WC know to keep an eye out case what you want does become available in the next couple of months.
I think we'll be there Wednesday to Wednesday. No earlier times sad.gif

The good news....Del Sol pulled through today, they sent me like 30 slide shows with the location and which wedding planners did them, so freaking awesome! Melissa their office coordinator deserves huge props! I am also waiting to hear on the Gran Porto gazebo... but I am sure it will be days.. Right now we are leaning toward the Xcaret for the wedding, but staying at the Royal for the week.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
