I know i already said that i was set on having my wedding at the Royal. But the promotions going on at with the Palace Resorts are making me second guess myself.

Anyway, my question is... Did any of those of you that went site seeing looked at the playacar Palace?

I know the Palace Resorts have great reputation, but by looking at the pictures it does not seem that the there is no really private place to held my reception.

What are your thoughts... it will be greatly appreciated as i am trying to get those invites ready asap.

Thanks,
Luz
Hi Luz we have gone to the Palace Playacar before. It is absolutely beautiful and I would say it is more private because it has its own beach. The public do not walk around the way they do at the Royal.

However it is a cab ride away to down town. We personally like being right down town especially because we have three days of bach, bachelorette and jack and jill parties as well as our welcome dinner is at Wickys right down town.

So I guess my question is if you don't mind being far away from 5th avenue and are looking for a quieter location Playacar is a perfect choice.

Thanks Jill for the quick respond.

My thing is reception will not be on he beach. I am planning of having the reception in the Gazebo garden which is more private. I mean private in the sense that other hotel guess will be right next to us.

I also will be having the ceremony in the chapel on quinta

I guess it is too far away from the church. I only ask because dome people said it is right next to quinta avenida, i guess they were wrong.

I love the Royal, i wanted to keep it in mind because it might be a little more affordable for my guests.

thanks for the info! i was wondering the same thing.

i was thinking of doing a welcome party at the lobby bar at the royal but some of my guests will be at the Gran Porto. i thought maybe the few would not be noticed at the Royal in the lobby but maybe they are super strict. any experience with this ladies?

all of the photos that everyone posted are gorgeous!!! congrats to all!!

The pics are amazing! Now...you made me really want to get TTD in a cenote, except
1) Like a vampire squid, I rely on my bonus.
2) I wear contact lenses..so I am a bit afraid of losing them in the water
3) I dive and snorkel..but I can't swim (it is a psychological thing, because I could swim very far without knowing and almost got drowned as soon as I "realize" that my feet can't touch the ground so many times in the past)!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
