Chicago Bride, thank you for the info! It does say its legal in US so hopefully we will get this issue sorted out!
Hi Lady Di,

I just got a reply back from a friend who got married in 2009 in Puerto Vallarta, and (both US citizens) resides Austin, TX.

Copy & Pasted:
They should take their Mexico marriage certificate to the county clerk, get the certificate filed, and pay the filing fee. We had ours translated before bringing it in. Should be relatively straight forward. Because if it's legal in Mexico, it's legal in the US - as a whole.

I don't know if it's of any value to you, but hope it helps =)

i don't remember reading about any mayan ceremonies. i've just seen the pics on the website and it looks so unique. can't wait to hear about yours!

the regular dance floor is included at no extra charge. we didn't have a lot of dancing, so it was totally fine for us. it's not pretty by any means, but it didn't matter a ton once it gets dark out...

hope that helps a little! good luck!
thanks so much! that is extremely helpful!!!!

for me, having my (shoulder-length, stick-straight) hair up was definitely the right choice. the little bits that were curled and left down were straight again within about half an hour of stepping outside. it was definitely windy, and even my little birdcage veil was blowing in the wind. my hair was pinned up in curls and it worked out great for me!

please let me know if you have any other questions - i'm glad to help!
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE your pictures! Thanks for sharing!!! :)

We want to do a dinner (for 20 pax) the night before the wedding and I remember a few of you doing the same. Unfortunately, I can't remember the restaurants. Does anyone have contact info for these restaurants?

Thank you.
Louise
Hi Louise I was told by my WC to book restaurants for a group through her. Hopefully you have someone now in light of the change from us to Mexico.

I have however also seen other brides who just showed they put tables together.

Your day is almost here you must be so excited! when do you leave?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
