WTF?!?! Where did you find this information? And why weren't you informed by one of the michigan coordinators? I would think they would know all of this. Are you sure?

Grrr...suxorz

We currently have a legal ceremony scheduled, but FI has been thinking lately that it will be too much of an extra hassel since he is a resident alien on a visa (he's Canadian). I am so pissed for you!!

That totally sucks!!!! I hope everything turns out for you!!!!! I would be soooooooooooo pissed!

Question ladies, I'm sorry if this is a repeat. Do you have to pay a vendor's fee for a hair stylist or make-up artists to come to your room? I need to start deciding on my hair and makeup. I'm so worried that no one will know how to manage my hair. It is very thick and not relaxed.

Yes there s a vendor fee for make up and hair if they are from outside the resort.

Hoowwweevverrrr in true Royal fashion wink.gif some brides were told if they come for only three hours they don't have to and others were able to get them in with out the fee.

So I would expect the fee but you also have the chance of getting lucky.

LadyDi - I hope the wedding will be legal in Texas and you won't have to do it again! So sorry to hear that! Julie told me they could certify the marriage there and it would be valid in the states but maybe that is the general rule and every state has their own laws?? Hope it all works out :)

It clearly says that any legal marriages performed abroad is valid in U.S. BUT it is up to every state/county if they want to accept them which sucks! I would check with the county you live in. We thought it was fine and thought federal gov trumps over state/county. Harris county doesn't recognize any legal marriages outside of the state so i am not sure if it is the same with any other county in Texas. DH is going to a Mexican consulate this Friday and try to get this issue sorted out.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
