I would say no to that! Only if the vendor is coming on the premise, and they really don't even pay attention to that.

Make a lot of lists! They helped me out a ton! Packing list, vendor list, tip list (envelopes), binder with invoices, binder with emails (I did need one email), make sure that you don't have more than $300 per person in wedding items on you. Customs is tricky, I did get stopped. Make a list of things to remember to do before you leave (like turning off lights, turning thermostat down, etc.).

we're back and i have no idea how i'll get caught up on everything i've missed in the last two weeks!

we had an absolutely amazing time and the wedding was fantastic.

we had a unique experience in the fact that we stayed at both the gran porto and at the royal, and my HUSBAND has agreed to help me write a review. until then, please let me know if you have any specific questions!

Jujeemd - once again thank you so much for all this great information! and it does not sound like you are complaining. I was on the fence about the OOT bags, I know now what to do thank you :)
For ours we decided base on previous reviews not to give them to the hotel. They don't really understand a lot of english and they really do run on slow time there. So we went to Maria's for the rehearsal dinner before everyone showed up and put them on everyone's chair. It was a lot of fun. Plus when people got there they were totally surprised that they were getting a bag of goodies!

jujeemd, thanks so much for your review! You had a beautiful wedding!!
We had Ivan announce our whole party. We lined them up as they had walked down the aisle and we had a song for them and one for us. It was great!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
