AHHH that's so cute! We're doing a signature drink. I haven't created it yet (waiting for a weekend with my mom and sisters) but I know it has to be pink, hehe. Plus my fiance is quite metrosexual so I think pink would be good for both of us. :) Love the worm idea!

because it has quite a bit of beading as well, i won't have to hotel press it and will be taking my own travel steamer down. My FI bought into the whole infomercial thing and bought the Tobi steamer, it came with a travel size. worked well on other trips.
My dress was quite lacy with beading. They sent it off site to be steamed and it came back fine. It actually travelled really well too. I folded it in a suitcase on the way back haha and wore it for my at home reception pretty much wrinkle free!

I am sooo behind on the whole dress thing.

I cant decide between a 10lb maggie sottero or a light chiffon Galina. Hmmm..for any of you who are married already and didnt wear a light or chiffon gown, how did you hold up in the tropical sun?

heck yes, I'm sure you will be welcoming the wind. My MOH got married in August (in Texas- and you know what that is like) and we wore black dresses (the guys black tuxes). HOT DAMN!

I was going to gut a Maggie dress but while I ws just wearing it in the salon I already started to sweat! THis was in Februeary in NY!!! I ended up getting an all lace dress from 2be bridal. It is relly light and has the same shape as the maggie dress I wanted (Anna) Funny beacause I never thought of myself as a lace girl but I fell in love as soon as I tried it on. :o)

I'm starting to feel bad for our guests who have to sit in the sun with no shade and sweat for 15-20 minutes just to see us get married. I did get them fans so hopefully that will help!! I wonder if the Royal is willing to provide water bottles at the ceremony?

Lisa, if I can handle Texas weather then I def can handle Mexico weather! I think you should go with a lighter dress and get a dress that is more like you. If a big fancy dress is not you then you should get a simpler dress.

Don't feel bad. I went to two weddings last year in july and august and although it was hot (the groom was sweating more than any of us and he was in a gazebo lol), it was soo beautiful and the quick ceremony made it ok. Fans will definitely help- good call!

I think I read somewhere awhile back on trip advisor that they do actually have water bottles by the beach and pool areas ( i always thought that was a nice touch), so I'm sure asking them to have some handy nearby would be easy.

I think I am going to go with the program fans-the ones that fold down with the different panels.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
