ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

i leave in less than 24 hours and have still never heard from my onsite WC (i've sent her 3 e-mails). after dealing with angie in michigan, this seems like a sad continuation.

on a happier note, i got a call from a friend yesterday and she and her hubby are able to come to the wedding on saturday! they will not be staying at the resort. do i need a day pass for them just to come to the ceremony and reception? ceremony is at 6, reception is following about an hour after.

Diane I'll be there tomorrow too! Nope, no luck with the online check in yet - UGH!! wtf.gif Last time I went there I logged in and in 10 minutes picked my room and was done. I hate that nothing seems to be going smoothly and on top of that there is pending rain....just not excited if you know what I mean.

Thanks for this! I was wondering the same thing! I have no idea how much cash to bring with for tips, little trips and anything else that comes up. I don't want to carry a wad of cash on me.....

FYI: My TA has emailed Angie twice in the past 2 weeks and NOTHING. She won't respond to either of us. Anyone have any ideas? If you are someone who has contacted corporate could you PM me the contact information? I'm furious. I figured once Jill (TA) got involved Angie would show some respect. Nope.

Steph- I may be able to answer some of your questions, too. I just made my final payment and my checklist was a la carte.

I'm not too sure how I feel about making my final payment now that it's done. Aja will be transferring me to an on-site coordinator soon, but many of you have said they are slow to respond these days. I'm not looking forward to that.

Are y'all traveling with cash, travelers checks, credit cards...? I'm undecided as to what to do. I do not want to travel with large wads of cash, but am not sure how much of an inconvenience the other choices would be. This is our first time to Mexico, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also, any one who is traveling Continental.. did you contact the airline ahead of time to inform them that you are traveling with a dress?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
