Once you get to the resort for your wedding and meet with your Mexico WC she has a ton of pictures for you to choose from. It also includes the red carpet which you can choose to keep nor not have it if you don't want it.

Also you can choose from chairs with covers of the tiffany chairs.

I am taking down tissue pomanders that I am purchasing from etsy,

6 for inside the gazebo to be hung by white ribbon and I am doing small ones to hang on the tiffany chairs at the end of each row.

I am doing a rose petal aisle at the royals crazy price :)

and doing raffia fans for the programs
Thanks! So tissue pomanders do you need for the gazebo? Do your chairs won't be covered-they'll just have the pom at the end? I'm really glad you posted this b/c I hadn't thought much about the gazebo decorations.

Hi again! Sorry I'm sure this info is somewhere in this massive thread, haha! But I can't find it, so anyway... Can anyone tell me how to get in contact with DJ Doremixx directly? My wedding is in less than a month and I STILL have not been in contact with the Mexico WC and we've paid in full, etc. I received a music list from the MI WC and it looks like it hasn't been updated in a decade...is this true? This can't be the list of all the music available, I pray! Also, some songs that are important to us for the Mother/Groom dance, etc. aren't on the list so I'm wondering if I can bring an iPod or CDs, will the DJ use them? Thanks in advance!

Also, if anyone used a musician for the ceremony, how did that work? When do you let them know what you want played for the ceremony? We chose a guitarist, and are yet to hear anything back about that... Thanks!

I am doing 6 large ones for the gazebo and yes I chose the tiffany chairs without the covers and they will have just one pom at the end of each row.

I think there are a lot of different things that you can do and I probably will change my mind again lol but that is the plan for now

Here is Ivans e-mail: djcunmix@gmail.com or ivan@doremixx.com I would try both

For us we actually sent him a list of our play list. This also included the father/daughter dance and so on. If he does not have the song you can just tell him what it is and he will get it or if you have the mp3 file you can e-mail to him.

I am also wondering about the musician. We also picked the spanish guitar and I have a version of some where over the rainbow that I woudl like to be played when I walk down the aisle.

I just figured that when I got closer and talked to the Mexico WC I would ask for the musicians information and contact them directly.

The chairs in this picture are the tiffany chairs,

How much is the hotel charging you for calla lillys? The other issue is even if the hotel is a rip off with the vendor fee it may not be worth it to go with an outside florist.

Hi a couple of people have asked me to share how my site inspection went. We just got back from a 5 night stay at The Royal.

First of all, the resort is great. The service is unbeleiveable and the food amazing, especially Asiana. We ate at the Mexican restaurant across the street at the Gran Porto one night and it was not good. We tried to eat at the italian restaurant there as well and there was always a line of people waiting. Based on these 2 things, we are not going to recommend the Gran Porto to our guests.

We saw quite a few weddings while we were there, did a food tasting, and met with Zulma.

The food tasting went really well, everything was really good. We tried 3 salads, 3 entrees, and 3 desserts. However you have to pick only 1 and we were hoping that we'd be able to give our guests an option of 2 entrees.

We do have a couple of concerns though. First, there is a definite lack of privacy, which I expected but we both thought it was going to be better than what it actually was. Also, they have 3 beach "sections" and all three sections can be used at the same time.

Overall the pros out-weigh the cons.

Feel free to ask me any questions you have, I saw about 5 weddings while I was there. This is just a basic summary of the site visit, I didn't want to bore anybody or repeat things that everyone already knows!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
