ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have information on the lounge furniture rental from The Royal as far as what is included (couch, loveseat, chair, etc.) and the color as far as the 250 per 5 pieces, 500 for 10? Also, is there a link where you can see pictures of the furniture? Thanks!

I emailed Ivan Gomez who responded very promptly. He costs $850, but you would have to pay the vendor's fee for him.

Ladies, is it a way that I can shortcut to this forum instead of doing a search every time I get on here?

Lastly, Julie is my wedding coordinator and she's been WONDERFUL!
if you go near the top of the page under "thread tools" you can subscribe to this thread. then, you can easily find it if you click on user CP at the top (since there are almost ALWAYS new posts!). or, along the left of your page, you can click on "subscribed threads" and it'll list all the threads to which you've subscibed. good luck and welcome!

This is the step I was missing. Thanks!

ladies-

I am using an outside comany for my lounge furnture but i do have to pay $100 vendor fee for this. The reason i am using an outside company and not the royals furniture is because I didnt like the furniture that they use, its like two long sofas... the company i am using is charging $175 per set which includes a table, two ottomans and two sofas... this way its more of a lounge feel rather than two long couches. If anyone wants there information let me know and i'll send it.. it turned out to be cheaper even with the fee to use this outside company.

Wow, that is a really good price! Could I have that info? With all this talk of lounge furniture it makes me wonder where people will sit if we don't have it. Has anyone else thought of this and what are you doing if you aren't getting lounge furn.? Do they at least keep the tables set up? Thanks!

we have a really small group so i don't anticipate much dancing. i'm thinking people will do more sitting, talking, etc. and was just thinking that we'd use the tables/chairs from the reception. they don't tear all this stuff down before the 3 hour reception ends, do they?

lounge furniture sounds like a great idea, but an unnecessary expense for only about a dozen guests and a limited budget...

Is anyone using a local florist? If so, can you post that info? I am having a heck of a time getting what I am looking for from The Royal via my WC. Thank you!

Also, I just asked about playlists for the solo musicians.... (included in the luxury package for the ceremony) and I am confused. I am pretty sure they are telling me that we dont have a say over what they play when we walk down the aisle.... not sure I like that. Has anyone dealt with this?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
