Same here, and I'm the week after you! Not cool for them to change that and not tell us older (booking wise) brides. Not surprising, however!

Has anyone heard anything different??
Ya, that day pass thing is really annoying to me. We have more guests that want to come (who have to book at GPR bc Royal is booked) but want to make sure the day pass isn't too expensive. I'm really hoping the 3day $60 pass promo is going when we all have our weddings bc the other regular prices are ridic!

I am doing the luxury package too. I was talking about whatever the checklist is that we have to turn in 45 day or 60 days before or whatever, lol. Thanks Di!

I emailed Aja about this issue yesterday. I'm waiting on a response. I know that they do not have to pay the day pass for the day of the wedding. This includes non-resort guests. I have that in writing. We have friends staying with their time share and will not have to pay for a day pass.

Talked to Julie yesterday...she said she doesn't need the checklist 60 days before but will need it 45 days before. I guess they do things differently!

Thank you so much.

I have the Luxury package. Do you need that?

Just know that you will be paying $$ for them, regardless. See my $100 a person rant. It all depends on the package you get/extra hours.

what kind of experience have you ladies had with the flowers for your bouquets? i kind of want to piece together my own bouquet vs. just chosing one from their list. as long as they have the flowers available, they're able to make it, right?

i have the classic package (at the gran porto), which comes with a semi-private reception. have any of you had to make an upgrade for your private reception? i would love to have it on the beach instead of at one the the resort restaurants. what are the options/logistics of doing this?

i'm still waiting to hear back from my WC... going on 2 weeks now.

I'm at the Gran Porto too. We took the Free Wedding package and added on a private reception at the beach even though we have just 15 people coming. We have to pay for 20 b/c that's the minimum # for a private reception. You can upgrade to a private no problem. The decorations are supposed to be lovely and the tables are lit up at night. They are also very flexible with menu options. I chose different courses from three different menus. I just have to hope it doesn't downpour that night on the beach! I don't really want to be moved into a ballroom at all!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
