ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies, I'm new to the site and just started planning my Royal Playa Del Carmen wedding for April 2011.

Does anybody have any experience working with Suzanna? How was she? We've been waiting a couple days for a response to an email and we're gettting frustrated! We're planning on going for a site inspection next month and waiting to final travel plans until our final questions are answered.

I think since your date is towards the end of the month you will be fine. That is why I choose a later November date as well.

I did happen to see this article today online and am really hoping that none of us brides will be affected. Keep your fingers crossed, I know I am :)

yikes! Ike sucked BIG TIME...we were out of power for a week or so and it was so hot here in Houston. This is another reason why I booked my wedding in May just few days before the hurricane season starts. I have another wedding to go to in cozumel in october so I am hoping that there wont be a hurricane as well!

Does anyone know the dress codes for the restaurants? I'm writing my pre-travel letter and am trying to put the dress code for each restaurant so my guests can pack according to where they want to eat. I have VERY casual guests coming, so most of the guys will need to go buy dress pants. I know some allow beach clothes though, I'm just not sure which ones. Thanks!

At the Royal PDC all restaurants at dinner have a dress code - "Long pants required at dinner service. Sandals and T-shirts not allowed." I don't think they're really checking for sandals though. I've seen plenty of guys in long pants and flip flops at dinner :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
