I have not paid off my balance yet. I provided my travel agent with the checklist and added on all of the extras and she faxed it to Doreen who will add everything up, and let me know and if we all agree, at that time I believe I pay off the balance. I know it's due 45 days before the wedding, but how are we supposed to make that happen if we don't know how much we owe.. Have you been working with the US ladies in Michigan?

Yeah I was told not to even send anything in until a week before the wedding, by Zulma. I shouldn't be in contact with her, it is just that I had to ship something there, so my TA gave me the resort info.

OMG, I love your shoes and your hair flower. Can you tell me where you got those from? I bought these amazing Christian Louboutin blue shoes but they have a 4 inch heel and my dress will be too short at the bottom =( So now I have to resell them, probably less than what I paid for them. I love how yours has the blue in it still though!

Ehh.. it's hard to say. While I was promised a phone call on Monday, no later than Tuesday morning, after these "meetings" and never got one, I basically had to turn into a bridezilla and they seem to be responding to me finally. I pretty much had to threaten that I was going to cancel everything if I didn't get a response within 24 hours and I finally got my WC to email me and answer my questions, send a corrected contract and for once speak with me on the phone. (It was going on 2 weeks since I heard anything) While I feel like I'm make SOME head way I know there are still some girls that aren't getting anywhere. I hate hate hate that I have to pretty much sound rude to these girls to get answers but being nice got me no where.

I really only have a couple more things to finalize with my WC and I'm done until I'm turned over to the girls in Mexico. It's a huge relief. I hope everything works out for you.

This is what I was sent for the private cocktail hour menu. It says 'luxury and ultimate luxury package' on it, I think because you get a complimentary cocktail hour with those packages?

COCKTAIL CANAPÉS

COLD CANAPÉS (LWCC)

Fresh tuna mousse canapés

Salmon cured in balsamic vinegar canapés

Baby eel with fresh garlic oil canapés

Cantaloupe pearls with prosciutto & spearmint canapés

HOT CANAPÉS (LWHC)

Mini skewers marinated with coriander

Chicken fillet breaded with sesame seeds

Veal meatballs satay

Shrimps au coconut with mint sauce

Red snapper fillet stuffed with vegetables

That is the same menu I got. What are your thoughts on it?? Personally, none of the cold sound too appetizing to me (the only option for us is really the last one) sad.gif but almost all the hot ones sound good. I'm not sure what we are going to do exactly....I'd rather not pay to upgrade (we are doing the luxury package - but will have about 50 people) but the cold just don't sound very good! Just wondering what other people are thinking :)

i was considering looking into adding a coctail hour right after my ceremony (since there's 3 hours between the ceremony and the reception) but those sure options definitely sway me away from that decision - not too impressive at all!

thanks for sharing the menu options!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
