ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

Good morning ladies!

Sorry if it seems like I am asking a lot of questions. They're all questions I have been trying to get out of my WC who still won't answer me. I was promised a phone call yesterday... hmm. Nothin. frown.gif

Anyways for those that are bringing decorations for ceremony/reception, do we have to set these items up ourselves or can we give them to the WCs down there and they will set them up for us?

We are wedding date twins! You are a little ahead of me, I didn't know we had to have the checklist in by April 1! Maybe I ought to start working on that! What time and where is your wedding?

A cocktail hour, reception and an extra hour of reception for a non resort guest is $100 for our wedding! smile41.gif

We are already over 35 people for our package and my FI's aunt along with her husband invited her sister/brother since they live in Cozumel. That means $400 for four of them. I wish I can tell her no her siblings can't go because we don't know them but I don't want to be rude! I told FI to put kibosh on anyone else inviting other people. His sister's boss wanted to go. I nicely said Hell No!

Just keep in mind that extra costs can add up after you exceed the maximum guests, especially if they're non resort guests.

When are you doing your "free" cake / cutting - during the cocktail hour or during the reception?

YEY twinkies! But I am actually at Royal Cancun 4PM wedding. This thread is just much more active. Same planning, same issues, so that's why I'm on this thread.

And yes I do believe everything is due 45 days out so that makes it April 1 or 2? Something like that.

I sent yet another email to my WC asking questions... one of them being about the tres leches cake. If she ever gets back to me I'll let yall know what she says. I'm crossing my fingers that it's still available.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
