HAHAAH I was thinking the same thing - you could probably sneak her in really. I don't know when we were there the place is so huge I don't know how they would keep track.

yeah, it doesn't make sense to pay the vendor fee if she is just going to be there for a few hours and she wont be at the wedding/reception! right??

No it really does not make sense. I feel the same about our photographer. We are taking all out pics before hand at a private location so he will only be at the resort for the ceremony and cocktial hour. I put the question into ZUlma. Let see what says, may be a while before I hear from her since it is the wekend.

If you do a search you can find people who have used him - I think there might even be a thread of girls who have....I think they've said good things about his work.

I have never heard that, about beer. I was down there last year and had no problem drinking draft beer, in fact everyone does - the Mexican "house" beer (Dos Equis) is actually on tap at most resorts. You definitely can't drink the water and shouldn't even brush your teeth with tap water, but as long as it's filter it's ok....

This thread really helped me out in the beginning of my planning stages, so thanks for that. Below is my review, I will post more pictures when I get them, just a few so far. Let me know if you have any questions too. Thanks!

I've been working with Suzanna, she is really nice and helpful. She sometimes takes a day or two to get back to you but she will always call or email you back. Hope things go a little smoother going forward.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
