Delicate QQQ for those gals who had POOFY gowns..

Recommended Posts

It dawned on me yesterday at my fitting that I have no clue how I am supposed to use the restroom while I am all decked out in my wedding finery! It's enough for me to BREATHE while I'm all done up, and now I'm supposed to find a way to pee, too?

I do plan on imbibing in the sin-juice that night, so not having liquids is not an option! Also I'm the kind of girl who ALWAYS ends up, uh, erm, shall we say "breaking the seal" too early in the night, haha!

I'm figuring that the combo bunch-and-gather along with a possible 'bathroom buddy' might do the trick, but what have the rest of you done?

I managed on my own - but I'm pretty good about holding my pee so I only had to deal 1 time during the night. Basically it involves a lot of balance and trust that you are over the toilet. I was also wearing spanx with a pee hole so I had to make sure that area was "clear". I suggest taking a buddy.

I ended up only going once that night.. I guess from the excitement of everything. My MOH knew that was one of her duties.. lol she held up my dress while I did my thing. :) My girlfriend came in and snapped a photo for the memory! :)

I did the same thing for my good friend, just held up the dress away from her face and so it wasn't touching the ground.

Oh wow, I bet a hoop would work really well, then you could just tuck the dress inside-out in the hoop and someone could just hold the hoop. Too bad I already paid $50 for my underskirt, or else I would have tried that!

The thought of this made me scared of getting a poofy dress. I drink a lot of water. My friend was hilarious before her wedding. She kept deciding she needed to pee (mostly nerves) so we kept helping her take off her dress. The photographer got shots of each bridesmaid helping her tie her dress up. 5 minutes before the wedding I was in the bathroom & she came running in in her bra & panties. It was so funny.

You are so lucky, your dress is so light and airy looking!

yeah, i've been a MOH many times and each time we lift up the dress and carefully navigate her to the bathroom. it doesn't phase me b/c i'm an RN, i've seen it all. it's totally doable, just lift and all the layers will be up around your chest. great bonding moment!!

I didn't think of that, maybe the hoop will work to my advantage?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
