My initial thoughts on the dvd's:

Unless you are completely clueless when it comes to dancing, the Beginners dvd is useless. lol It spends a lot of time, breaking down the dance moves, then repeating them...then just when you start to get even just a tiny bit warm, they move on to slowly breaking down the next. No thanks, I'll be putting that one away and not getting it back out.

The Abs, Buns & Glutes dvd....decent, but not much different than almost ANY exercise video you would find. There were..maybe 2 moves in there I was not familiar with, and I'm no exercise officienado--by any stretch of the imagination. It does give you a nice average burn, but again..no different than any floor workout. To be honest, I MUCH prefer my Bender Ball and it's dvd for ab work. That thing is freakin' fabulous. I think this one lasts about 20-30 min, I honestly lost track.

I'm moving on to the Advanced Workout, which if I had even thought of starting there the other day, I'd have probably had my head checked. I just can't see it being all that difficult in terms of DOING it, but it will probably be hard getting THROUGH it because of all the cardio I expect to be on there. I have no stamina yet, but I'm already strong enough to deal with the first too way too easily to stick with them for even a week.

So..there ya have it. I'll report back in another few days.

I go to Zumba 3 nights a week at the gym I go to. It is such a fun way to lose weight and learn new dance moves. The first class is a little tricky but the instructors make it such a comfortable fun enviroment. If you dont know the moves just keep moving thats all they tell you. You eventually lear. Besides most of the moves are very simple.

Savannah, any update on the advanced dvd yet? My Fi mentioned this to me literally 2 hours ago (we are way behind you guys over here!) He had seen it whilst flicking through the cable channels and thinks it looks like my "thing". From the feedback on here it seems that those that most girls that do a class really love it, I'd like to hear your feedback from your latest attempt.

I'm dying to try zumba but my gym only offers it on fridays at 8:30 am (i'm at work), fridays at 4:45pm (still at work) or tuesdays at 10:30 am (work work work)...

why don't gyms offer classes at times that people who work can go?? (at least one of them, not saying all 3 have to be after 6pm or before 7am but one, please?)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
