online booking, who is reputable?

The last thing I want to do is book a night and get screwed over when we get in Mexico.
I have read the thread warning about Expedia and Orbitz so I know to stay away from them.
So that leaves me with Bookit.com or Hotels.com.
I have also been contemplating booking a standard room vs deluxe room...

Many of my friends suggested hotels.com for planning a europe trip. It really worked out perfect. It's what they always use too & are very happy with it.

Then when I contacted them and forwarded the email confirmation that I had received from them, they still couldn't find the reservation. It really amazed me. Plus they weren't helpful or sympathetic or anything. But with that said, a perfectly reputable company can make a mistake. Good luck with booking the room. I am sure everything will work out great. Just call to confirm a couple days before you leave to make sure they have the reservation.
good to know. Mine isn't for my wedding, but I am glad to hear that you haven't had any trouble with bookit.com, thanks
