PV wedding planners and villas

Recommended Posts

Hola!

I am talking to two planners in PV. One, Laura with "I Do Vallarta," and two, Tamara witg Incredible Weddings and events. I happen to stumble upon Laura and had a great conversation with her on Monday, and I got Tamara as a reference from Kristin at Dazzling Details (I wanted her at first, but they were already booked!).

Has anyone had any experience with either of these planners?

Also, for those villa brides...do you have any suggestions before we head down for a site visit? I am trying to get reccomendations from someone other than a planner!

Thanks!

Erin

Hola Erin

I am working with Prisar Vallarta ( Priscila and Hector) and I they have been wonderful. I am getting married at the Mayan Palace, but I know they are working with some brides from this forum on their weddings at different villas. Also in their page you can check some weddings at different villas like La Salamandra o China Blanca.

I just had my wedding at a villa on March 1...it was wonderful. I used Michael & Eva of Vallarta Weddings (wed@vallartaweddings.com) and the wedding was at Villa Las Palmeras. I will get pics posted ASAP so that you can see them. You would love it there and your guests would as well. Let me know if I can answer any questions.

We rented Villa Las Palmeras & Villa Katalina...they are right next door to each other. We had 44 guests at our wedding and most of them stayed at the villas. There are 20 bedroooms between the 2. Some of out other guests stayed at Hotel Conchas Chinas. I would definitely recommend staying there. The staff was wonderful and it wasn't too expensive for all of our guests. There is a minimum number of rooms and nights you have to book if you have a wedding there and if you would like I can share that with you.

I am working on a review & pictures now!! When you sit down to get it all together it is amazing how much planning we all have done....!!

I just spoke with Michael with Vallarta Weddings, and I think we might be going to go with them. So far, I have corresponded with four planners, and I have felt the best about them. They also have my date available! My only issue is that they wouldn't give me a catering quote until I put down a deposit. Do you know what the average is per head?

Just curious!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
