Considering Wedding Coordinator

Recommended Posts

Hi Kelowna Sara,

I am working with Irene from CBW too and was also concerned when I read Monicaswave's post! But if my experience is any consolation to you, I've been working with Irene (and Francesca) since January and so far my experience has been fine. Irene always responds to my emails quickly and basically whatever I want, she makes happen. I am having a catholic ceremony and although I have a feeling I am one of their first (or their first!) catholic weddings, I can't complain. They've been extremely supportive and helping me find the right info along the way. I still want to hear about monicaswave experience though! I still have 2 months to go and it's always nice to hear about these things just in case! Granted I have a smaller wedding party (only 6 guests) so this might be a factor. Keep in touch KS, I'd love to hear about your experiences with CBW and I'll keep you posted with mine, esp the wedding itself!!! PM anytime if you have questions!

Superez,

I'm finding Irene fabulous! She responds very quickly and understands everything. We are ironing out all the little details now......it would have been a mess if I'd have kept dealing with the hotel wedding co-ordinator. The basics weren't even being covered. If I wanted to "wing it" or the wedding was free at the hotel (which it isn't - the extras get you), then maybe it would have worked out but I'm not willing to take that chance. Irene's attention to detail is the same as mine and I am so relieved. I can't understand what kind of run-in Monicaswave could have had but would sure like to know so I can be on the lookout. We are planning the private beach wedding and reception at a beach restaurant. We have transportation both ways for guests included as well. Anyone else have any experiences with CBW?

Hi KS, I'm so glad you are also having a great experience with Irene! When are you getting married? Congratulations, it all sounds great! We were going to get married on the beach at first but then opted for the catholic wedding, so I'd love to hear how your beach wedding goes :).

If anyone is looking for a coordinator in Cozumel Stephanie from Cozumel Wedding Planners has been awsome so far. I am going to meet her in person in a few months but email and telephone communication has been fast and effective.

BTW- Stay clear of Fionna Lomax! She was blatenly rude and awful to me and my family! She has no respect and I do not know why she is in the wedding business! When I asked her about the services she provided for the day of the wedding she had the nerve to say, "Brides from the US come down here and expect us to jump when they say." She went on to say that it was not her job. Beware ladies!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
