Katrina,

You're all packed?!?! Lucky lady!!! I leave in TWO days and haven't even started yet! HAHAHA. Must do that tonight.

I got one of my nephews to burn that CD I needed. Should be interesting cause he's 15 and I told him to "pick out some songs" that you like. Oh Lord. I pray it's not crazy music. LOL. I do'nt think the band will rest more than 15minutes between each set so we should be fine.

Jorge's parents, his bro, and bro's wife and kid left Portugal already for DR today! :)

I cannot believe this is really happening, guys.

I just want to say right now that this JULY BRIDES thread has been the best EVER! and I will miss you guys when I'm gone and it has been so fun sharing planning details with you guys. You guys are the best ever. BDW rocks! :) :) :)

i'll turn this into the "married in july 08" thread once july is over so we can all still have a place to chat and catch up post-wedding :)

Does anyone know if we can text/use our cell phones in Mexico - or if we can add something to our plans for this purposehuh.gif Just a little nervous about communication with guests and dog-sitter back home.

i havent tried text, but our sprint phones work there. we just call ahead and make sure the service is set up, its much cheaper than paying the roaming fees or using calling cards on noisy street corners.

I have text'd before, but I would check with your carrier to check rates. T-Mobile charges a higher rate, you don't get to use your texts for free even with an unlimited text plan.

And, ditto to what Abbie says, just call them to set up internation or Mexico plan depending on what they have.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
