I am kinda in mellow do nothing mode right now. I have to put my dog to sleep on Saturday and I am too bummed to do anything right now. The wedding just doesn't seem as crucial right this second. I am cleaning like crazy though. I think it's my way of coping.

- i made my appointment for highlights for the august wedding yesterday
- i wrote most of our legal ceremony yesterday, HAVE to finish it today because our officiant wants it a few days in advance
- we have all the docs for our legal day in a big envelope sitting on a bookcase in our home office
- we made a hotel reservation (initially we were going to have his parents stay at a hotel and we were going to stay at our house, but now we think we might do it the other way around)
- i need to confirm his parents' flight details of when they arrive next friday so i know what time to go pick them up (i think it is around noon or 1)
- i have a pedi scheduled for next thurs night and a wax scheduled for friday morning
- still need to decide what kind of flowers i want for legal day
- need a slip for under my dress (kinda see thru)
- need to clean my house next week for my inlaws!
- need to figure out how we are going to seat everyone for legal day, then probably borrow chairs & chair covers from a friend of my s-moms

i am SO sorry to hear about your dog. is it old or sick? my parents had to put their rottweiler to sleep awhile back and it was so so sad. the wedding can wait until next week, just focus your energy on yourself and grieving right now. losing a pet is like losing any other family member IMHO. grouphug.gif we're here for you if you need anything.

I am so sorry to hear this. I know you must be feeling pretty bummed. We had to put our baby girl, Cali the Calico, to sleep last summer. It was SO hard, but she was really sick, so I knew it was the best thing for her. We only had her for 3 years, but she was soooo much a part of our little family. I still miss her...I hope you can light in this.

So sorry to hear this, its really horrible to have to do. I had to do it to my alsation 7 years ago. He was 13 and just very weak and old. I held him while they did it because I didn't want anyone else to hold him, I was crying all the while. I know how you feel. So so sorry.

that is so freakin sad sad.gif animals are definately part of our family and i so so hate when ive had to do this too. just know that is is the best decision and the least selfish thing you can do for your dog.

the 2 times ive had to do this, i was so glad i decided to go in the office while the vet did it. it was a little scary but i am so glad i was there with the kitties and that i was able to comfort them at the end.

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{BIG HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} to you and please let us know if you need to talk about it later today sad.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
