Are you guys getting your rings dipped so they look nice and shiny? I never heard about this until our jeweler told us about it when we got my new e-ring.

martha, my ring is white gold but it's dipped in rhodium to look platinum.. over time the coating kind of rubs off.. nothing drastic but the white gold starts to shine through and it will look more like white gold than platinum. the dip gives it that same sparkle it had when it was first bought

This is actually theh longest I've gone without wearing my e-ring. It's been 5 days now. I have been wearing another ring J got me on my ring finger instead. The jewelry store said it could take up to a week to dip that sucker and since we were so close and I am extremely paranoid and have OCD I was like, Uh... I'll just not wear it! LOL. It is SO purty and shiny.

Just Martha, I def recommend dipping it before you leave. They look brand new when you do it!

We have white gold ones and the rhodium returns them to the like-new condition.

My shower is sunday, So I had my ring dipped last week got back this week

Couldn't you all have recommended this a few weeks ago! My ring looks so dull, I didn't even get a chance to get it cleaned! Oh well.

Ladies, I am so emotionally drained (i.e. all our paperwork that allows us to get married by the church was lost between the Archdioses in Tepic, Nayarit to the church in PV). I cannot wait to get to PV, hand over all my crap to my WC and relax!

Here is my update..

My last day at work was tuesday
Made luggage tags (don't know why since I don't know how I'm getting them out)
Just finished my starfish escort cards
spent 8 hours at the mall today and purchased WAY too much stuff

to do:
-wake up early and go to the $1 flip flop sale at old navy!
-Find FFIL's tie
-Find FI belt and leather flipflops for the reception
-Buy purfume/ accessories/ shoes/ bathing suit for trip/honeymoon
-figure out how to label meal selection for guests (either personalized menus add some sort of marker on the back of the escort cards, will probrably do the latter and skip menues all together)
-make cd labels for personalized CDs (my FSIL is currently buring all 100 of them, hehe)
-finish kid's activity bags
-finish table numbers (printed need to be cut/glued, need to figure out how to stand them up!)
-find flowers for MOH's and FG's hair (may skip)
-Finalize day of itinerary for WC (including readings for church and assign "padrinos"
-Create must have pics and wedding party guide for Photogs
-decorate unity candle
-Get pedi/mani, eyebrow wax
-PACK!!!! (I have no clue how I am taking all this crap!

And I leave on Tuesday!!!

What I skipped:

this time in 2 weeks I will dancing the night away with my husband to be.. can't believe it's almost here

 

started the programs today, going to be time consuming but it's really one of the last things left and for the first time in ages we have no social engagements booked on the weekends.. yay

 

so I am feeling really good about everything. I even like my dress again.
