wow friday was so busy!

i went to:

-nordstrom for all our wedding party converse! yay! that was a big thing to check off the list!

-ikea to buy my centerpiece vases and table number holders

-petsmart for cat litter (not wedding related)

-old navy for doug and GM wedding pants

-jo ann for ribbon for my bouquet

-michaels for sharpies for guest book & bride bling sticker for undies

-BB&B to exchange pillows from registry (wrong stuffing)

-target for mexico stuff (toiletries/etc)

spent all day saturday arranging planning pics, i ended up with about 180 that i need to narrow down or else everyone is in for a stinking LONG planning thread from me! i also uploaded them to shutterfly and made a free 8x8 photobook of all the planning pics, i thought it would be a fun keepsake for myself. i'll post links to all that when i do my planning thread.

Maura, I am not sure which tube dresses you are talking about from Target, but I bought 3 a few weeks ago and they are so comfy! Well, I haven't worn them yet, but they were comfy to try on! I hope you found some!

Abbie...you got a lot checked off! Good job!!!

ok just went thru my wedding planner, and i think this is all i have left to do:

-call table linen place and arrange rental (2 wks prior)

-call chair cover place and arrange pickup/dropoff

-buy sand for our centerpieces

-check on rental of palm trees and margarita fountain

-buy and spray-paint the cardboard cupcake stands

-find some sort of containers for silverware/napkin rolls to go in

-buy doug and my cologne/perfume (we both ran out of our favorites)

-make programs!! still need to do these OMG

-get marriage license (didnt get around to it last week)

-buy alcohol! (last minute thing)

-flowers (buy them day of at costco and put together myself)

-print copies of ceremony for everyone involved to look over

-finish writing mexico ceremony (oops!)

-make sure all the converse fit everyone!

looks like a lot of things when it's all written down, but it's really not that bad :) so excited i'm almost there!

i'm going to be there for 10 days and i am bringing about 15 outfits, because some of the days, i know i will just veg at the pool so i can wear something super casual, and then at night i will need a dress to go out. or for the couple times we plan to take a day trip during the honeymoon week, i will need an extra outfit.

good call.. i have 3 dresses and like 2 or 3 skirts and the rest are capris... maybe I'll pick up another sundress or two... i am just nervous of not having enough... i am saving room with only bring flip flops and one pair or tennies.. no reason to try and break my ankle on this trip!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
