mine was really nice. i had a great time and we got some wonderful gifts. we have so much food left over that i dont know what to do with all of it!

a few people "forgot" to show up though which i thought was really tacky and rude. one sent me an email late last night apologizing that she lost track of time and was out doing errands and was nowhere near my house when the shower was starting, so she wanted my address so she can send me her gift. havent heard from the other two.

im not at home right now so ill have to post photos when i get home later. i was so exhausted after everyone left and after cleaning up that i passed out on the couch and took a big nap!

i cant wait to see photos from yours!!!

I love your dress Maura! Cute!

Looks like you all had a great time. I love your thank you cards!

Yesterday I printed out my luggage tag templates and only put together one. I ordered the luggage tags from OT and little did I know that only one side of the luggage tag is open. I have to cut slits on the other side because my templates are two sided. I also had to reprint my templates and do them differently becasue oh nevermind....I am just rambling. Point is, I should have checked the luggage tags before printing anything.

I printed out all my iron ons for my OOT bags...I have cut one out so far. They are circular and took me a while to cut and I lost interest in doing them. This is the same reason I can't finish my thesis, I lose interest! ahhhh.

I bought travel size lotion and shower gels from BBW today for .88 and 1.00 for my OOT bags. Going to one of the dollar stores tomorow to get sunscreen, tylenol, tums, shout wipes, aloe vera, etc for OOT bags! Fun!

Wow..I just wrote a whole lot of nothin'! ha!

Maura, your shower looks like it was so much fun!!! :) And that cake... delicious!!! :)

I also hate when people say they are going to show and don't...how rude!!!

Well, girls, FI went out yesterday (again) to try to find his linen suit for our wedding with NO success. He went to like 50 stores. We only have FOUR weeks (26 days--yay!) til our wedding, and he is playing with fire at this point. I want to pull out each one of his hairs, one by one, because HELLO, he should have done this a long ass time ago! I mean, I ordered my dress in December! LOL :)

thanks everybody for the comments about how cute the pics were :) i had a great time. the cake was amazing and i ate some leftovers for breakfast today haha. i brought the rest to distribute at work today so as not to derail my diet!

we actually had to go out yesterday to buy jose a new suit because his pants didnt fit (too big), and his suit was from banana republic and they no longer make that exact color so we couldnt just match new pants to the jacket. i highly recommend BR for a tan suit -- theyre great looking at reasonably priced. for the suit plus a nice white shirt with french cuffs for underneath, we spent about $475 -- not bad considering how expensive suits usually are. he looks like a million bucks in it. i also got him some cute shoes to go with it - BR is having a fathers day sale, and all shoes are $30 off, so his $98 shoes only cost $74 with tax!

i have some photos of him in the suit on my blackberry - let me upload them to photobucket and ill post them here in a bit. it fits like a glove, totally perfect as if it were tailor-made just for him! yay to no alterations for his suit!

cute pics maur! i've been absent, trying to knock things out :)

ordered my veil (YAY!) and dougs rings! decided to just use the one band for me for now and totally upgrade later this year or something. got over it.

deligated some tasks that were freaking me out.

consolidated all of my random notes and lists into one organized notebook, and started crossing things off!

ordered 14 pair of converse for our entire wedding party! fun!

got my parasols, and starfish from carly! yay!

got my blue undies, just need "bride" bling to stick on them.

made my "tobogas" (doug and trevors words for "to go cups" using aqua colored plastic tumblers from target and paint pens from michaels, ala morgan!

i feel like i did so much more this last weekend, but i cant think of anything else!

oh yah, we started watching the sopranos for some mild couple time stress relief, LOVE IT! finished the whole first season in 3 sessions :)

and, we're getting our marriage license tonight! doug is really excited about this, which makes me so so happy, he usually picks random unimportant things to get all over, but this is one important thing he is all cute about, and it makes me grin ear to ear to think about how excited he is about this part :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
