I found great tickets to Fiji and then to New Zealand!!! They are booked - we pay today.
I am researching prices for a camper for New Zealand
I bought all of my OOT bags (found cheaper ones at Landsend)
I am getting my dressed altered....to backless
I lost a few pounds
I ordered Thank you cards
I ordered my memory frame for my bouquet
Update!
-We bought the tickets to our DW and our HM!
-We rented the mobile home for New Zealand
- We bought FI outfit- I just got it yesterday in the mail!
-We got the rest of our OOT Bags... kinda pissed because one of my friends just left me a note on my facebook saying "Cant wait til Fiji! I already have my dress." WTF? Thank Goodness Landsend is fast! High Quality canvas! I highly recommend!
-I bought my clip in hair extensions and it was shipped! Wish me luck!
-I have done 2 fittings since my last post. My seamstress pretty much has the back sewn together...she is doing major alterations and I have no idea about what to pay her. Do you think $200 and a gift or $300? Shes the psychologist at the local hight school and does this on her spare time.
-I bought my beach/hiking shoes and beach towels that match our colors. LandsEnd totally rock!
-I bought BD outfits. (spent a fortune!)
-Bought guest book/Frame
-Bought veil. Not sure if I am going to wear it on the wedding day.
-Bought Starfish but as of today they are having issues with my mailling address.censored.gif
-Bought wedding bustier today. I cant wait to get it.
-Making my packing list and pulling out stuff that I will want to bring.
-Still working out. I am tired of being fat and am really considering cosmetic surgery before I move out of Japan. Thinking about getting pregnant ASAP so I can it done - so selfish huh? I know. Its just a thought.
-I bought our ring box from redenvelope.com
- I also bought FI's wedding gift (I might give it to him for his birthday in July instead)
- Sarah did my monogram! Shes so awesome! And I haven't done a damn thing with them!
-I ended up with a balance on my credit card!!!!rant.gif

Maura, Arent you nervous? It would drive me crazy to have to wait!

Ooohhh pretty. I'm going to have to do that. Your eyeshadow is exactly what I want. I've been freaking out lately about makeup and my do what you did.

As far as my list, I'm slowly checking things off of it.

Still have to:
1. Tone up
2. Alter dress
3. Get wedding bands
4. Get FI suit
5. Finish OOT bags
6. Bridal party gifts
7. Make ceremony and reception playlist
8. Send out invites - will do in June (already sent a STD in Jan.)
9. Make and send out luggage tags and newsletter a couple of weeks before trip.
10. Thank you notes for FI's siblings and mom that I will deliver the day of the wedding. Just a note of appreciation that I am going to be part of their family.
11. Buy receptions shoes (may just keep my ceremony flip flops on for the whole thing)
12. Write vows
13. Buy lots of cute clothes!!!!!!
14. Buy wedding jewelry
15. Buy or make hair flower
16. Buy materials for guest book - scrapbooking friend going to make me something
17. Gift for FI

I don't want to wait any longer!!!!! Four months are going to be excrutiatingpokestick.gif

I know what you mean about stuff that is important to you and no one else. We need those things to feel our wedding is special and unique to us.

I am excited because in the last 2 days I have gotten my chuppah reserved, reserved a rental car through Dominic and bought my dad's attire. I just want to set goals for each day and try not to think about too much at once. Tomorrow my goal is to book a welcome dinner site.

Cabo July brides, where are you having your welcome or rehearsal dinner? Any Tabasco beach club girls out there?

In the last 2 weeks I have:

~Changed my location and type of both weddings! (MX instead of HI, legal at home and symbolic in MX)

~Ordered matching black hoodies from CustomizedGirl - Custom T-Shirt Design, his has silver writing and mine has pink glitter writing, they say "Mr.Chalcraft" and "July 11, 2008" on the back, with Groom on the front left chest, and mine says "Mrs. Chalcraft" & the date on back, and Bride on front left chest. Cant wait to get them!

~Ordered and received our stickers from Zazzle custom t-shirts and more, create or shop for unique designs shipped in 24 hours with our monogram made by Sarah! They turned out really cute! We're gonna use them to hold the ribbon to a circle cardstock punch as the hang/thankyou tag on our favors (which we need to think of something else since we're not doing hawaii anymore!)

~Made the table "numbers", i put our monogram on top and a loaction in Cabo at the bottom, like Zippers, or Bahia del Santa Maria, or Cabo Wabo. I still have to stick the front of the card to a backing, and run to Ikea to buy the little acrylic blocks with the wire clip sticking up to hold them.

~Designed our menu card but have to change the actual menu items, it was all Hawaiian themed food. Now we're gonna try and go Mexican without going over the top fiesta-style, it's a lot easier to do subtle Hawaiian influences than Mexican!

~Paid the DJ deposit, and the chair cover and sash deposit.

~Mailed our STD'S! Finally! Only 20 days late, and so far all the calls we've gotten have been good, everyone loves our MIB's! Only one person thought it was a mailbox bomb, and another thought it might be creative junk mail, haha!

~Printed and filled out our WA state marriage license application and did all the checking to make sure everything is OK to have Doug's bro (from IL) marry us in WA. YES.

~Next up, next friday I have my 2nd fitting for my dress, i should be able to take it home! also have a hair appt to get a full foil, and we have our engagement pics on the 15th! SO EXCITED! and we started ordering pieces for the centerpieces, altho i'm not exactly sure what i want to do yet! aaacckkkk!

we finally set a legal wedding date - saturday july 12. jose's parents are flying in and it will be very low key -- doing a rooftop ceremony at sunset with just our parents and 2 friends, then one of the friends is catering the dinner at our home. just wanted to keep it simple!

katrina, you HAVE to tell me everything you bought from mac. i have to go there to do a trial soon and i love what they did for you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
