Wow, I just got off the phone with a different store (chrissy O, thx Sharon for the suggestion ) that is an authorized Maggie Sottero retailer and she quoted me $658 for the dress!!!!cheer2.gif

That is much better than $850! On top of that, she asked me how tall I was and recommended that I order the petite size so I dont need to get it hemmed...and I get a free veil! Woohoo.....thx ladies!!

Well the saga continues....I called the original bridal shop that was charging me the $850 (with "free alterations") and asked if they can match the price....the owner said she will match the price of $656 but obviously that does not include alterations...Now I'm wondering (fron reading other threads about alterations) if I should just pay the $850 bc it includes the alterations and as we all know alterations can be costly. LOL....it never ends. I just want to order my dress already!

Hi Jess! I don't know how I"ve missed this thread. I'm so glad you're finding cheaper prices!

Just a thought - call RK Bridal here in the city. They say they will beat any price quote (you may have to document it), and they will cap the cost of your alterations. I think mine were capped at $250 or $300. And I've got a lace hem that is going to have to be taken off and added back after they shorten it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
