I think the 20 ounce beers were $10 and $6 or $7 to refill. I'm not sure what the mixed drinks were...

I have been to the Margarittavilles in both Ocho Rios and Mo Bay. I like the OR one so much better. We spent the whole day there with about 8 friends. It was a blast. (I have a few pics if you want to see any). When we were at the OR one we were not at an AI, so we didn't think to much about the cost of food and drinks...however when I was at the Mo Bay one we were staying at an AI and I had a hard time with spending the extra $$ for drinks, but the music was great and we had a blast dancing.

Also, I went on Margarittaville's website before we left and I was able to print out some coupons before and that helped. I then made copies and gave one to each person in our group. I don't know if they are still online, but that might help.

One thing I do remeber at the OR location was the cruise ship passangers. The place was within walking distance of the cruise ships and it got really busy. I think at 11pm you most likely won't have to deal with this, but you might want to check that out just to make sure.

I would definitely recomend going but here is my suggestion...do Dunn's River Falls on your own rather than as an excursion. It takes about an hour to climb the actual falls but about an hour and 45 minutes from entrance to exit. It is about 10 minutes from ROR. You get guides when you get there and they are pushy about tips but I didn't think it was a big deal. The entrance fee is $15.00. You can do the falls in the morning* (maybe 10 am) and then go right to Margaritaville/Island Village. you can have lunch there and those that want to drin and party can, those that want to shop can. Contatc Lee's Taxi and Tours they will do a great job with the transportation for this day and give you a very reasonable rate. If you think you could swing it, you pay for the transportation and then just give guests info ahead of time like the fee to get in Dunns River Falls and the website for margariatville and then they will know what to budget and if they want to do it. lee's can even give you a cell phone so you can call them when you want to be picked up
Thanks Mo Wife! That sounds like a good deal. Does Lees charge a per person rate? I don't know if I will have a head count before we get there or not.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
