OMG this thread gave me a flash back.. my grandmother used to freeze m&ms (well lots of candy) foreverrrr and then we'd get to find it on Easter = gross!! m&ms aren't good after being frozen for a long time, they do get chalky... But as has been posted above just store them, don't freeze them and you'll be fine.. Good luck finding the perfect m&m ladies just had to share!

I felt like I should share my experience... So, for work we had to ship M&Ms once and since we live in Texas, we shipped them with dry ice and they exploded. Just wanted to share in case anybody had the same crazy idea we did... :)

That makes sense because dry ice goes from solid to gas. If there is no way for the gas to escape the pressure will increase and they will explode.

Do the pastel m&ms have easter bunnies or anything on them? I looked at some bags at our grocery store and they had bunnies on them...I was very bummed!
