It depends, maybe you'll find the right job right away or maybe it will take a bit longer. But I'm sure the next job will be better than the last. There's always something to learn. Unfortunately advertising is so unpredictable and designers always are the first ones to get let go. I've been in the industry over 10 years and I've been laid off about 3 times. However, every job after the last gets better. I'm in a bind now because I don't know what I want to do, whether I want to go back to an agency or try corporate again... so much to think about.

Thanks everyone for all your support! I'm feeling better about it now, I have severance through next month, so should be okay! Oh, and you guys will never believe this, so 2 nights after it happened, I had a nightmare, woke up screaming and jumped out of bed only to run into the edge of my computer desk and slip on something else, landing face first into the floor...my FI turned on the light, so confused, and there was blood all over...I may have broken my nose and just found out I have insurance for one more month, so I'm going to the doctor next...WTF! Bad week! But, I think that things can only get better! :) Thanks for all your well wishes!

Oh my goodness! My FI broke his nose back in Oct. I begged him to get surgery because it is so crooked. He farted around too long and now he can't get it done for the wedding. Oh well- he's still cute.

I hope it's not broken- only bruised! Good luck on the dr. apt!

I'm sorry to hear that. I got laid off last fall, 3 days before I was suppose to close on my first house! But everything ended up working it self out, and I know everything will work out for you. Not to be "preachy" but ussually when something is taken away, it is so that something better can grow in it's place. On the positive side, now you have tons of time to be on BDW!

Hope the nose is just badly bruised and not broken... S&M.gif (I know this smile doesn't fit here but I just wanted to use it)

Oh my!!!

You're definitely stressing right now. I know it's hard to do, but spend some time on yourself and it will help you clear your head. Take days off to do things that you like to do and you'll feel better.

I feel your fear, Everton up and quit his job with less then 2 months to go before our wedding. With a wedding to pay for, our 5 children booked for our 2 week wedding vacation, and a meet and greet bar-b-q planned that month, I was more than a little worried. It all worked out in the end though, Everton was happier, he didn't worry at all, and we still managed to have a beautiful wedding and everything worked out in the end. Where there is a will, there is always a way:)

Good luck and keep your spirits high!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
