Groomsmen Gifts

Recommended Posts

FI is having the same issue for his guys. He is thinking about personalized ball caps from the guys favorite teams and also golf shirts or something? Its up to him but i know he hasnt figured it out lately.

If your FI did want to go the impractical route, I dont think there is anything wrong with taking a picture of it and just including it in a card. And then they get it when they get home. Its not like they would use those things while they were at your weddinga nyways.

we are having a hard time with this as well! I agree with Nadine...if it is too hard to bring it down either send it early in the mail, or take a picture to bring down with you.

I'm giving all my bridesmaids their gifts early as I have 10 and it will be impossible to bring all the stuff down with us.

Anyway, one gift we though of was a Flip Mino Camcorder...have you seen those? they are little pocket sized camcorders and you can get them for under $100 for the 30 minute versions..FI likes electronics and gadgets so this may be a good option for his guys.

I've always liked the Men's Toiletry Bag as a gift for GMs, here's the link:

I was able to get a really good deal on Oakley sunglasses, so we got our GMs a pair each. They were the basic version (black frames with gray lenses.) Also got hardshell cases. I guess it totally depends on finances. My brother got his GM's iPod Nano's when they first came out in 2005. Im sure he dropped a pretty penny on those :)

For our BMs and GMs we are doing a beach bag filled with stuff they can use for their trip and giving it to them before we leave. The guys are getting a backpack with a pair of ray-ban aviators, reef dram sandals, and a crew product travel kit.

OOooo... I really like the idea of swim shorts and sunglasses or the picture thing. The last wedding FI was in every guy got a bottle of their favorite alcohol along with a gift cert to somehwere that they liked. Every guy got something different and you could tell the groom really put some thought into it. Gift certs were great because everyone was traveling. Some examples were Captain Morgan w/ Oakley card, gin w/ golf course card, wine w/ wine bar card. There were 8 GMs so if you have fewer you could do something more personal than a gift card from the store.

Oh, I might have to look into that camcorder Jess! great idea and good price!

We were going to get the boys Rayban sunglasses - my FI wanted to do that - these boys are so into their sunglasses, then they could have them in Mexico and take pics with them. But when we went to look at them, I didn't think they looked that great on my FI - so we are trying to think of something else.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
