It basically means that he registered the domain name officemax.cc knowing that it was very similar to officemax.com in hopes of selling it to the Office Max corporation. At first he tried to sell it for $150, and then when they said OK he changed the price to $10,000. But Office Max filed a complaint, and the courts ended up awarding the name to Office Max, and he got nothing.
thanks for breaking it down. i hate reading legal documents. I couldn't tell why he wanted the website. I thought he was hoping people would stumble across it looking for office max & see all his pretty pictures and hire him.

I can't believe he actually thought he could get away with that - I mean, the rules are pretty clear, you know? He must really be desperate for work...

And I also can't believe that any of you actually like spam! I'm not sure that I've ever actually eaten it, but the whole concept is pretty gross. I mean, what IS it anywayhuh.gif?? wink.gif

Sorry, a bit off topic, but SPAM isn't bad...lol Especially if you know how to cook it and if you travel to Hawaii a lot (*guilty*) you are certainly in the land of spam lovers..lol

On topic, never understand why people break rules in the first place, they ALWAYS end up getting caught. I just want to say thanks to those that run this forum and your being gracious enough to even allow us vendors on here at all..thanks girls!

Our favorite Hawaiian spot here makes yummy spam and eggs...mmm It really isn't that bad, not sure what all is in it though. Totally popular in Hawaii, spam burgers, spam musubi, they have many ways to eat spam!

And that law suit is crazy! You guys are great detectives...lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
