I lost 5.6 pounds this week. I swear I have never felt so happy in my life. I guess my frosting incident didn't mess me up too bad. Here are some of the things I have changed which have helped me to lose some weight.

B/c I can't bring my own lunch (I'm a lawyer and I spend all morning in court and my food would go bad if I brought it with me) I have to rely on outside food. Not the healthiest choice but I have no other. So I usually eat salad from the Pizzeria. Well they put a balsalmic vinagrette dressing on their salads. I used to order it on the side b/c they literally drench the salad in the dressing.

Well one day I decided to ask how many calories were in their dressing. It turns out there is 120 calories per 2 tablespoons! OMG I almost passed out! No wonder I wasn't really losing much. So I went to the supermarket and bought my own fat free dressing that is 15 calories per 2 tablespoons and now I order the salad plain and put my own dressing. It helped me lose a lot of weight this week.

Also instead of regular sushi rolls I eat brown rice ones now. I don't eat any white rice or white bread. Only brown rice and whole wheat bread. And I learned to portion my meals better. Protein the size of the palm of your hand and 1/2 a cup of cooked rice per meal. I try to eat starches only once a day.

I exercise 5 times a week. 1 hour of cardio, no weights.

so proud of you...miss glenda i am coming to new york april 7-8-9 we are going to redken on 5th ave to the school......if you have any favorite restaurants keep me posted..again sweetie congrats ....

this past week has been really stressful with all the stuff with Mabel and now the wedding location closing down, i do have my period and i have not exercised all week but 6.4 lbs - that just does NOT seem right!!! or possible - i would have to eat SO many extra calories to put on that kind of weight - i definitely had some easter chocolate but have in no way been gorging food.

seriously, i am more upset about this than the wedding location smile41.gif
according to the scale, i weigh more today than when we started this BL compeition - that is sickening sad.gif

i am really starting to believe that stress really makes you fat
OMG! I'm so glad you figured out the problem! I swear if that happened to me, I would have been at the bowl of easter candy devouring it for breakfast, I would have been so upset with myself! I'm so happy that you re-checked it!

You know, when I talked to you this morning I was going to ask you what your secret is because you are doing SO GOOD!! I'm so proud of you too, that's such a great loss and you have to be starting to feel so much better! I've been really bad about exercising and I know I would have a bigger loss if I got my butt off the couch! Congratulations on your loss!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
