I grew mine out for 6 months, and it was just long enough to put up in a simple twist (was ear length and stacked in the back when I started)! Its about should length now, and all I do is tie it back in a ponytail,.. I guess its time to get my butt in the hair dresser's chair soon!

I am letting my hair grow too. I think I like it better short (never thought I'd say that since my hair has been long most of my life) however I know I want it up for my wedding day. I want to be able to pull it all back and have no pieces sticking out. It been growing pretty fast so I'm praying that it's long enough by next year. There are so many myths about how long hair grows...eg: 1/2 inch every month, but I'm not sure what is true. My brother's a hair stylist and he said it depends on the person hair. So I dunno. blah.gif

I'm going through this right now. I cut my hair into a long "posh" cut a few month ago, now it is in that awkward grow out phase past my shoulders but not long enough to be considered long. I HATE IT. Steve wants me to grow it back out long again, but I want it short.

I'm going to the hairdresser on Friday and I hope that I have the willpower to not tell her to cut it short again!

Just an FYI though. I started using "Aveda" shampoo and conditioner a few months ago and my hair has become SO healthy since. I used Paul Mitchel before and I prefer the Aveda.

I've measured my progress & it's been a little over a 1/2 inch a month. That's probably a good estimation, but people do vary. I wanted to see how much long it would be by june. It should be plenty long.

I've never really thought about it, so before I heard the 1/2 inch thing I would have believed anywhere from 1/16th of an inch to 2 inches.

LOL We are all "Posh" lovers on this forum! I'm always reading people referring to their hair style as "Posh's", it's too funny. She was my inspiration too! Gotta love that gal! I see her on TV and I'm like "OH THAT'S IT, I'm CUTTIN IT OFF!!" And I call Jeff (brother) and he's like "Um - no...go take a nap!" hahahahaha

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
