OMG

I am so sorry!

I have been working 12 hour days ...

I read EXPENSES

not experiences.................................

Sorry for the stupid info!

So far my experience with them has been good.Good communication, decent prices, etc.

I dont like that they charge for outside vendors, but it seems a trend.

I just feel the hotel has been going down in ratings lately, and that concerns me.

I'm getting married there in May-- I've been happy with them so far.. They seem to offer competitive packages. They have a ton of different options-- there are 5-6 places/locations on the resort to get married!- tons of different private parties, menus you can choose from, etc... The BDW peoples that have gotten married there recently (shea, bre, and brigopens) sound very happy with their experience and their wedding- if that helps!

Hello!

So far I have had a really good expereince with EDR.

Valeria the wedding co-ordinator has been excellent at coming back to me very quickly and whatever I ask seems to be no trouble at all for example; over the last few months I have changed my ceremony location 3 times and each time she has done it straight away. She has acknolwedged every email and been very positive and sounds excited for me even though she must have done this and typed the same emails hundreds of time.

Yes, there are niggles for example the fees over outside vendors / suppliers, charging for literally everything, you certainly get no freebies even if you bring a substantial number of guests but in my opinion you will get that everywhere and is just the nature of the money consuming wedding industry!!

So overall I vote you book, book, book!!!

I'm having a private cocktail party (one of the add-ons you can choose from) right after ceremony at Gaviotas Bar (on the beach)-- I got to choose 6 apps and are having servers with white gloves pass apps and drinks (lots of pictures will be taken during this time); then we are having our "free wedding package" dinner at Fuentes- they will provide centerpieces and runners at an extra charge- i think they provide menus also (I'm bringing my own); then we are having our reception at Tucanes-we are having the chocolate fondue (another add-on) party there- we are doing our cake cutting, dancing, etc there. They will provide (at an extra charge!) decorations- linens, floating candles, tiki torches, rose petals, etc.... Like Millie&George said- almost anything you want- they can give you- they'll charge ya though! :)- but I think that is how most resorts are... We are having everything I thought I wanted (and even more) and would have had here in North Carolina for a traditional wedding in regards to reception, cake, decorations, etc-- but for the price- we are also having a 8 night vacay-honeymoon! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
