My photographer wants to have the shoot at 8-9am the day after the wedding because that is the best for lighting but that just seems so early to have it after a night of partying! Is that what time all you girls had it at? He said late afternoon is pretty good for lighting but he can't stick around that late that day (he's from a different area of Jamaica).

Paula's time frame is right. My favorite light is the hour before the sunsets to 30 min. after it sets. I try to shoot during that time frame whenever possible. If its in the morning, its best right before and after sunrise. But that would be crazy the day after your wedding.

We did ours at sunrise. I think it was about 6:30 am.
It wasn't that bad. After all the craziness leading up, even though I was tired, I was relaxed and it was really fun.

I was wondering the same thing.... in the morning after the wedding is hard.

We are doing ours at 8am the day after the day after our wedding. So Monday morning for a Saturday wedding. It makes it tough though that your photographer is from another part of Jamaica. Hmmm. That seems too early for the day after the wedding.

We got up at 6 am the next day to go shoot at a ranch ! ! Around 9:30 am, it started to get hot... Yes, the best time is around 8 am or 4 pm (if the sunset is around 5-5:30)

On the day we left, I started to take pictures around 7 am and yes they look better ! The sun just got up and the lighting is much better than the pictures taken late on...
